Abstract:
Weber Process invention relates to checkout registers. To be more specific, this invention pertains process of shopping and purchasing goods in wholesale, retail, and all other places of business that include placing items in a shopping cart, in a basket, or on any mechanism for transferring merchandise, such as a cart at a home improvement store for purchase. It utilizes technology of anti-theft devices such as a scanner system in opposite way. The Weber Process records pre-installed programmable data on pre-installed microchip/scanner communication device/receiver chip installed on packaging of merchandise/trade item, registers it, and totals amount for sale to customer. The Weber grid system is permanently mounted on shopping carts to allow for shopping bags to be clipped to it, for shopping bags to be clipped so they remain in an open position.
Abstract:
A ballistic performance and trauma reduction system for soft body armor including a solid plastic sheet cut into multiple sections of geometric designs which overlap and are stitched to one or more layers of woven or non-woven ballistic fabric contained within a ballistic package of the soft body armor. Energy is transmitted through the ballistic sheets to the plastic sheet improving ballistic performance and reducing trauma to the wearer's body, resulting in safer, thinner and lighter armor.
Abstract:
In a MRI system housed within a room there is provided a movable magnet and additional components for other procedures on the patient, a control system is provided for the relative movement of the magnet and components. This includes a plurality of magnetic field sensors mounted on the components for measuring the magnetic field at the location of the component and an optional camera positioning system so that the control system can estimate relative positions of the components relative to the magnet from the sensed field strengths from the set of sensors to avoid collisions during the movements.
Abstract:
The present invention relates in general terms to a process for preparing acetone cyanohydrin, comprising as steps: A. contacting acetone and hydrocyanic acid in a reactor to give a reaction mixture, the reaction mixture being circulated, to obtain acetone cyanohydrin; B. cooling at least some of the reaction mixture; C. discharging at least a portion of the acetone cyanohydrin obtained from the reactor; D. continuously distilling the discharged acetone cyanohydrin obtained to obtain an acetone cyanohydrin bottom product and an acetone top product in a distillation column; E. recycling at least a portion of the acetone top product into step A, the acetone top product being kept at less than 60° C. during the recycling, to a process for preparing an alkyl methacrylate, to a process for preparing methacrylic acid, to an apparatus for preparing alkyl methacrylates, to a process for preparing polymers based at least partly on alkyl methacrylates, to the use of the alkyl methacrylates obtainable from the process according to the invention in chemical products, and to chemical products based on the alkyl methacrylates obtainable by the processes according to the invention.
Abstract:
A monitoring device to detect an indication of reverse power flow across a monitored transformer. The monitoring device adapted to handle a series of phase angle differences between a monitored current and a monitored voltage and establish a baseline phase angle difference after the network protector closes to connect the monitored transformer to a distribution network. The monitoring device working to establish a baseline phase angle even when a measured value for the magnitude of the monitored current has a reversed polarity from an actual current flowing from the monitored transformer or when the monitored current and the monitored voltage are not taken from the same phase from the monitored transformer. The monitoring device adapted to detect a significant change in phase angle difference from the baseline phase angle difference as an indication of reverse power flow. This abstract is intended as a tool to help others locate a relevant disclosure and not as a guide to the scope of the claims.
