    Abstract: Aspects relate to a configurable monitoring window duration for random access. In some examples, a reduced monitoring window duration may be utilized by a user equipment (UE) to monitor for a random access message transmitted by a base station. The reduced monitoring window duration may be configured as an offset from a transmission time of a first random access message by the UE or as a reduced duration of time as measured from the transmission time of the first random access message. The configurable monitoring window duration may be associated with a random access response monitoring window, a random access contention resolution monitoring window, or a random acesss msgB response window.

    Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for supporting for supporting retransmission in a multicast session in a Fifth Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) (5G NR) radio access network (RAN). Various embodiments may provide an enhanced multicast radio bearer (MRB) architecture leveraging Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) status reporting by wireless devices to a base station of a 5G NR RAN. Various embodiments may support multiple Radio Link Control (RLC) entities, also referred to as RLC legs, in a multicast session. One or more multicast RLC legs may be used for multicast and/or unicast transmission to wireless devices and a unicast RLC leg may be used for unicast transmission to a specific wireless device. Various embodiments may enable PDCP level retransmission of PDCP protocol data units (PDUs).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may directly send small data to a disaggregated base station without performing a random access procedure. The CU-CP may provide a list of routing identifiers and corresponding data resource bearers (DRBs) to a distributed unit (DU) and the DU may transmit a connection release message to the UE. The connection release message may include the list of routing identifiers and the list of DRB identifiers. The connection release message may also include a downlink monitoring timer. The UE may identify data for an uplink transmission and a DRB associated with that data. The UE may transmit a packet with the data and the routing identifiers to a DU, which may derive downlink address information from the routing identifiers and forward the data to a CU-UP of the aggregated base station.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for responding to a maximum permissible exposure (MPE) condition in uplink communications. In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) wireless device may detect an MPE condition associated with a cell in an uplink channel from the UE in the wireless communication network. The UE may configure a medium access control layer control element (MAC-CE) to indicate information related to the cell associated with the detected MPE condition and an alternative beam that avoids an MPE condition for use in uplink communications. The configured MAC-CE may include a synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel resource block indicator (SSBRI) or a channel state information resource indicator (CRI) that indicates an alternative UE panel, a feasible UE panel, Tx beam for UL transmissions or Tx beam for UL transmissions taking into account the detected MPE condition.
