    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are describe for signaling protocols for device-to-device discovery operations in a wireless communication system. A user equipment (UE) may be communicating with a serving base station using a first frequency in a first frequency band. The UE may transmit, to the serving base station, information associated with performing a discovery scan procedure on a second frequency in a second frequency band during a discovery scan interval. The first frequency may be different from the second frequency. The UE may identify a capability to skip one or more downlink transmissions from the serving base station during the discovery scan interval.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to sharing of sensor data among vehicles are provided. A first vehicle receives, from a second vehicle, first sensing information associated with a first object. The first vehicle detects sensor data associated with a second object. The first vehicle transmits second sensing information associated with the second object based on at least the sensor data, the first sensing information, and a transmission latency budget for the second sensing information. The first sensing information includes geographical location information of the first object. The second sensing information includes geographical location information of the second object. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, some user equipment (UEs) may be configured for sidelink communications using a first radio access technology (RAT) (e.g., via a cellular network) and other wireless devices may be configured for sidelink communications using a second RAT (e.g., via a wireless local area network (WLAN)). In order to mitigate interference between communications using the first and second RAT, when a first UE is scheduled to transmit or receive a data transmission on a set of resources using the first RAT, the first UE may transmit a message using the second RAT indicating that the data transmission is to occur on the set of resources. Accordingly, the second device may receive the message and determine to refrain from communicating on the set of resources.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may identify a configuration for transmitting ranging signals in a vehicle-based communication system. The configuration may identify a plurality of channels to be used for the ranging signals and timing for the ranging signals. The wireless device may transmit the configuration to a receiver and transmit ranging signals based at least in part on the configuration. The receiver may use the ranging signals to determine a distance between the receiver and the wireless device. The receiver may use the determined distance to update positioning information or operate a motor vehicle.
