    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to prioritized random access procedures in wireless systems. An exemplary method generally includes receiving, from a user equipment, a random access request including information identifying a type of a random access event being invoked, identifying one or more parameters associated with a backoff interval to be observed at the user equipment based, at least in part, on a priority associated with the type of the random access event, and transmitting, to the user equipment, a random access response including the identified one or more parameters.

In some aspects, the base station may transmit, and the user equipment may monitor for and receive a reception indication as a response to the L1 signal in a reception period occurring after transmission of the L1 signal.     Abstract: A leader-follower protocol is provided for wireless communication in a BAN. A connection is established between a leader of the BAN and at least one follower in the BAN. The follower refrains from transmitting until a transmission is received from the leader. The transmission from the leader triggers a transmission opportunity at the follower for a window of time. Once the follower receives a transmission from the leader, the follower may then transmit a second transmission to the leader within the window of time. The transmission from the leader that triggers the transmission opportunity for the follower may be a data transmission, a poll transmission, an ACK a sleep mode message, etc. After transmitting a transmission to the a follower, the leader refrains from transmitting for the window of time in order to accommodate the transmission opportunity for the at least one follower.

In some cases, a UE may send an indication to request SI in an on-demand manner. For example, a method for wireless communications by a UE may include determining system information (SI) desired by the UE is not currently being broadcast. The method for further include sending, in response to the determination, a first indication to request the SI, and sending a second indication to confirm reception of the requested SI or to indicate the UE has not received the requested SI after a time period.

    Abstract: Various aspects are provided for low-latency wireless local area networks. In a aspect, an access point (AP) may select, from a plurality of wireless stations associated with the AP, a wireless station for the AP to poll. Each of the plurality of wireless stations may be configured to transmit on a channel in response to being polled by the AP. The AP may transmit, at a time selected by the AP, a downlink frame including polling information to the wireless station on the channel, the polling information including a permitted duration for the wireless station to access the channel. The AP may monitor during the permitted duration for the AP to receive an uplink transmission from the wireless station on the channel, the uplink transmission from the wireless station being in response to the polling information received by the wireless station.
