    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A network server may configure a base station for beamforming communications based on a service type of data used by a user equipment (UE). The network server may determine the service type of the data based on position data of the UE, along with other statistical information related to data usage. The position information may include global position system (GPS) information, gyroscope information, accelerometer information, or information related to the UE's subarray geometry. The base station may receive the position information from the UE and convey it to the network server. The network server may use the position information to generate a network map and to identify the service type of communication.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for communicating in a wireless network using a first radio access technology (RAT) and an assisting RAT are disclosed. A first connection can be established with an access point using the first RAT, and a second connection can be established with the access point using the assisting RAT. A timing of the first connection can be synchronized based at least in part on a timeline of the assisting RAT. Communications with the access point over at least the first connection can be based at least in part on the synchronized timing.

A user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication of one or more masking parameters associated with an inpainting scheme to a receiving device. The UE may remove, according to the one or more masking parameters of the inpainting scheme, a portion of image data from an image to obtain a masked image, the masked image having a smaller amount of image data than the image. The UE may compress, according to a compression scheme, the masked image to obtain a compressed image, the compressed image having a smaller amount of image data than the masked image based at least in part on the compression. The UE may transmit the compressed image to the receiving device.
