    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for decoding a bitstream for a video signal, the method comprising the steps of: acquiring, from the bitstream, type number information and type information for a plurality of CTBs; acquiring, from the bitstream, type indication information for a current CTB among the plurality of CTBs; determining the size of the current CTB on the basis of a CTB type indicated by the type indication information; determining one or more coding blocks within the current CTB on the basis of the determined size of the current CTB and the determined minimum size of the coding block; acquiring, from the bitstream, prediction mode information with respect to each of the one or more coding blocks; and reconstructing a current coding block among the one or more coding blocks on the basis of prediction mode information related to the current coding block.

    Abstract: According to the present disclosure, an image decoding method performed by a decoding device includes the steps of acquiring image information including prediction-related information from a bitstream; deriving an intra prediction mode with respect to a current block on the basis of the prediction-related information; generating prediction samples with respect to the current block on the basis of the intra prediction mode with respect to the current block; and generating reconstruction samples with respect to the current block on the basis of the prediction samples with respect to the current block, wherein the intra prediction mode is derived on the basis of whether an upper neighboring block of the current block exists in the same coding tree unit (CTU) as the current block.

    Abstract: According to the present disclosure, an image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus comprises the steps of: receiving a bitstream including prediction-related information; configuring a list of MPMs including intra prediction mode candidates for a current block; decoding remaining mode information related to remaining intra prediction modes other than the intra prediction mode candidates included in the list of MPMs; deriving an intra prediction mode of the current block on the basis of the remaining mode information; generating prediction samples for the current block on the basis of the intra prediction mode of the current block; and generating reconstructed samples for the current block on the basis of the prediction samples for the current block, wherein on the basis that DIMD mode or TIMD for the current block can be derived, a plurality of intra prediction modes are derived on the basis of the remaining mode information.

    Abstract: A method for decoding an image by a decoding apparatus according to the present invention comprises the steps of: deriving predicted samples by performing prediction on a current block; determining whether the current block is to be divided, on the basis of a size and a maximum transform size of the current block; when the current block is determined to be divided, dividing the current block into transform blocks; deriving transform coefficients of the transform blocks; deriving residual samples by performing an inverse transform procedure for the transform coefficients; and generating a reconstructed picture on the basis of the residual samples and the predicted samples, wherein, when the size of the current block is larger than the maximum transform size, the current block is determined to be divided.
