Abstract:
Concrete with improved strength and toughness. A uniform mix of first constituents comprises: cement of Blaine fineness of 280-360 m2/kg; sand at a mass ratio of 0.75-1.25 of the cement; silica fume at a mass ratio of 0.15-0.4 of the cement; silica flour at a mass ratio of 0.15-0.3 of the cement; and microinclusions at a mass ratio up to 0.35 of the cement. This is then mixed with a blend of second constituents comprising a specified amount of an HRWRA and an amount of water at a mass ratio of 0.2-0.35 of the cement. This is mixed sufficiently to form a uniform cement-based paste to which an amount of macrofibers at a mass ratio of up to 0.35 of the cement is added to yield a uniform product. Nanoinclusions may be added to improve crack resistance and increase density.
Abstract:
A binder, a composition, a product and a kit, as well as a process for preparing the binder and composition, are directed to a composition useful as an inorganic phosphate binder, which binder is characterized as having calcium silicate sites which are connected the one with the other by alumina-silica phosphate bonds, and a filler.
Abstract:
A bonding material for a honeycomb structure comprises inorganic particles in which D90/D10 is from 10 to 500, D10 is 100 μm or less and D90 is 4 μm or more, and the D10 and D90 are the values of 10% diameter and 90% diameter from a smaller particle diameter side, respectively, in volume-based integrated fractions of a particle diameter distribution measurement by a laser diffraction/scattering method.
Abstract:
A sprayable and pourable cement composition is provided. The cement composition comprises about 30 to 40 percent by weight calcium silicate, about 20 to 35 percent by weight magnesium oxide and about 25 to 45 percent by weight monopotassium phosphate.

A phosphate cement composition is provided. The cement composition comprises about 10 to 40 percent by weight calcium or magnesium oxide, about 10 to 40 percent by weight acid phosphate, and about 10 to 50 percent by weight vermiculite or perlite or mixture thereof.
Abstract:
A honeycomb structure useful as exhaust gas trapping filter, particularly, as a diesel particulate filter (DPF) for trapping particulate matter, etc. in diesel engine exhaust gas and capable of effectively inhibiting defects such as cracks due to thermal stress, by reducing influence of thermal stress generated upon use or regeneration. The honeycomb structure includes: an integrally joined body constituted of plural honeycomb segments at joint faces with a bonding material layer, and an outer peripheral coat layer. Thickness of the bonding material layer satisfies the relation: (T2)=(1.2 to 10.0)×(T1) between an average thickness (T1) at positions (X1) and (X2) located at the both ends in the central axis direction of segments and a maximum thickness (T2) between positions (Y1) and (Y2) apart from respective ends in 3 to 40% of the whole length of the honeycomb segment.
Abstract:
A solid composite material is suitable for construction and industrial uses. The solid composite material consists of at least an effective amount of assorted agricultural remnants bound in an effective volume of cured resin.
Abstract:
A method is provided for making inexpensive synthetic inorganic resins that are stable, mix easily with water and may be conveniently diluted to form an easy-to-use paste for commercial applications. The method uses environmentally friendly techniques to provide improved efficiencies in the commercial production of these resins. The resins are produced by the partial reaction of phosphoric acid with sparsely-soluble oxides, or sparsely-soluble oxide minerals, that are added to the phosphoric acid under controlled conditions. In certain specific embodiments, methods are provided for modifying synthetic inorganic resins so as to produce rapid-setting phosphate cements and ceramics having high flexural strength. Unique synthetic inorganic resin formulations are also disclosed. These formulations are phosphate-mineral based, non-volatile, tend to be non-flammable, do not contain any hazardous inorganic or organic compounds, and are chemically stable at relatively high temperatures, yet they are less expensive than most commercially available organic synthetic polymeric resins.
