摘要: A thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) and fabrication method thereof. The fabrication method includes depositing a first metal layer on a transparent substrate, patterning the first metal layer to form at least two adjacent gate electrodes, forming a gate insulating layer on the gate electrodes, forming a semiconductor layer on the insulating layer, patterning the semiconductor layer into a predetermined shape, depositing a second metal layer on the transparent substrate, patterning the second metal layer to form a source/drain electrode layer, and depositing an insulating layer on the transparent substrate. A contact hole is defined via the insulating layer, source/drain electrode layer, and gate insulating layer, exposing a part of the surface of transparent substrate between the adjacent gate electrodes. A transparent conductive layer is deposited on the transparent substrate, and a light-shielding matrix is formed directly above the contact hole.

摘要: A thermal manikin has a closed perforated rigid frame covered by a breathable fabric extending over the frame and forming arms and legs. Water passages and a pump inside the manikin direct water around the manikin to simulate natural blood flow. The manikin is provided with a controller and sensor for measuring conditions inside and outside the manikin that enables simultaneous determination of Clo (thermal resistance of clothing placed on the manikin) and Im (the permeability index of the clothing).

摘要: A retaining frame for components of a personal computer comprises a horizontal portion, with a first section and a second section connected together; and a vertical portion attached substantially perpendicular to the first and second sections. The first section is adapted to secure a disk drive holder, and has at least one leg extending downward to support the retaining frame. The second section is adapted to secure a power supply, and has at least one leg extending downward to support the retaining frame. The vertical portion comprises a speaker seat and a ventilation fan seat at a central location near the first section, and speaker securing rib and fan securing device, respectively, for fastening a speaker and a ventilation fan. The retaining frame with a disk drive holder, power supply, speaker and the ventilation fan mounted thereon is disposed on the lower portion of a computer case, and secured inside the case by a vertical force exerted on the retaining frame by an upper portion of the computer case.

摘要: A communication system provides high speed transmission of data over a link, such as a fiber optic link, between a first terminal and a second terminal. The architecture and protocol permits the use of dedicated hardware such as state machines constructed of programmable array logic units, to synchronize the transmission and reception of data packets and the retransmission of designated ones of these packets in the event of a faulty transmission. Packets to be transmitted and received are stored in an array of frames in sub-windows of a memory storage window in each of the termianls, the frame number being equal to the sequence number of the data packet. By embedding sequence and status bits in each packet within control words and bits appended to each packet, the state machine in each terminal can readily track the progress of each packet so as to request acknowledgement of error-free receipt, to send an acknowledgement, to request a retransmission of a packet designated by its serial number and to distinguish a retransmitted packet from an original packet transmitted with error.

摘要: A capacitance-variable pressure sensor is disclosed. The capacitance-variable pressure sensor includes a double layer flexible circuit board, a multi-layer ceramic capacitor, and a soft conductive pad. The multi-layer ceramic capacitor is positioned in adjacent to the soft conductive pad. The double layer flexible circuit board is configured with a through hole or a notch, and is positioned between the multi-layer ceramic capacitor and the soft conductive pad. The multi-layer ceramic capacitor is positioned above the through hole or notch, and the soft conductive pad is positioned under the through hole or notch. The multi-layer ceramic capacitor includes a first member and a second member. The first member includes an external electrode or a plurality of external electrodes. The second member includes a ceramic dielectric, and a plurality of internal electrode layers disposed inside the ceramic dielectric. Each external electrode is connected to internal electrode layers.
