摘要: There are provided a variable magnification optical system and a control method thereof which are capable of relatively accurately adjusting a positional relationship between a variable magnification optical device and an imaging surface of an imaging device according to a zoom amount. A zoom lens included in the variable magnification optical device is positioned at a telephoto end and a wide angle end, and shift amounts ΔS1 and ΔS2, tilt angles θ1 and θ2, rotation angles ϕ1 and ϕ2, and focusing adjustment amounts Δ1 and Δ2 of the variable magnification optical device are set by a user and are stored. In a case where a zoom amount of the zoom lens is set to a desired value by the user, a shift amount corresponding to the set zoom amount is calculated by using the stored shift amounts ΔS1 and ΔS2. The positional relationship between the variable magnification optical device and the imaging surface of the imaging device is adjusted so as to have the calculated shift amount.

摘要: The present disclosure describes imaging techniques and devices having improved autofocus capabilities. The imaging techniques can include actively illuminating a scene and determining distances over the entire scene and so that a respective distance to each object or point in the scene can be determined. Thus, distances to all objects in a scene (within a particular range) at any given instant can be stored. A preview of the image can be displayed so as to allow a user to select a region of the scene of interest. In response to the user's selection, the imager's optical assembly can be adjusted automatically, for example, to a position that corresponds to optimal image capture of objects at the particular distance of the selected region of the scene.

摘要: An image pickup device includes an optical system, an imaging element, an image processor, an input unit, and a controller. The optical system includes a focus lens. The imaging element generates an image signal from optical information that is input via the optical system. The image processor performs a predetermined process on the image signal generated by the imaging element, and then generates moving picture data including a plurality of frame images. The input unit receives input of a designated region on an image made by a user. The controller causes the image processor to generate the moving picture data while moving a focus position of the optical system, and then extracts a still picture that is in focus on the designated region from among the plurality of frame images included in the moving picture data.

摘要: Aspects of present disclosure relates to multi-camera stereoscopic dynamic imaging systems and methods of capturing stereoscopic dynamic images. In certain embodiments, the multi-camera stereoscopic dynamic imaging system includes: a first camera assembly, a second camera assembly optically coupled to the first camera assembly via an optical medium, a stereoscopic dynamic imaging system, and a stereoscopic dynamic image display device. The first camera assembly capture a first set of focused images and a third set of focused images of multiple objects within a visual scene and the second camera assembly captures image signal of a second set of focused images and a fourth set of focused images of the multiple objects. The image signals are transmitted to and processed by a stereoscopic dynamic imaging system to form the stereoscopic dynamic image. The stereoscopic dynamic image may be dynamically and interactively displayed by the stereoscopic dynamic image display device.

摘要: The present invention provides a focus device, an imaging system, and a method of outputting a focus-lens drive signal each capable of securing the amount of infrared rays incident on a focus sensor. Visible rays and infrared rays included in the incidence rays are transmitted through a first region of a diaphragm and the infrared rays are transmitted through a second region of the diaphragm. The visible rays are transmitted through a dichroic mirror, and are incident on an image sensor. The infrared rays are reflected by a reflection surface of the dichroic mirror, and are incident on a focus sensor. A focus-lens drive signal is output from the focus sensor, and is input to a focus-lens drive unit. A focus lens is driven by the focus-lens drive unit. The amount of rays incident on the focus sensor is not decreased, and hence precise focusing can be performed.
