    Abstract: The Fuel supply system reduces fuel quantity initially supplied and ineffective residual quantity of fuel. A throat in the shape of a passage is provided at a bottom portion of a sub-tank that supplies fuel from the fuel tank to the interior of the sub-tank by a jet pump. The throat has a suction port communicating with the exterior of the sub-tank and a supply port communicating with the interior of the sub-tank. The throat is inclined with respect to a bottom surface of the tank so that the height of the throat increases gradually from the suction port toward the supply port. The sub-tank has a check valve for opening and closing the supply port. This check valve prevents the fuel in the sub-tank from flowing out to the exterior of the sub-tank through the throat and becomes substantially vertical during valve closing.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an automated chemical drain system which includes a buffer tank for collecting used chemical from a process machine, at least two level sensors in the buffer tank for sensing a fluid level and sending out a signal, a controller for receiving the signal from the level sensors and then sending out a second signal to a solenoid controlled valve when the first signal exceeds a threshold value, a solenoid controlled valve that is in fluid communication with the buffer tank and a collection tank, and a collection tank for collecting used chemical from the buffer tank. The collection tank may further be provided with a weight sensing device such that a signal may be sent out to the controller when the weight of the collection tank exceeds a maximum allowable value so that the controller shuts off the solenoid controlled valve to avoid overflow in the collection tank and to alert a maintenance operator to empty the collection tank.

    Abstract: A system of three tanks and associated fluid communication lines and valves added to a conventional septage pumper/hauler truck to carry a supply of lime slurry and inject it into the septage hauling tank 1 in measured doses. Air vacuum or pressure is used for moving the fluids between tanks without fluid pumps. The three tanks of the invention include a lime slurry carrying tank 3, a lime slurry dosing tank 7, and a water tank 5 for flushing the system. Compressed air 37 is applied to each of these tanks as needed to push the fluid contents through the connecting pipes. An air vacuum that is normally provided to the main tank 1 for loading septage is also employed in the invention to load tank 3 with lime slurry. By manipulating the valves in an appropriate sequence, the dosing tank is filled from the lime slurry carrying tank, then the slurry in the dosing tank is injected into the septage carrying tank simultaneously with septage for mixing. The ph of the septage is then tested, and the dosage repeated if necessary until the required level is achieved. At the end of the day, the valves are manipulated in another sequence to flush lime slurry from the tanks and pipes with water.

    Abstract: A system for transferring fluid from a filling reservoir to a receiving tank. The system includes a fluid transfer line for conveying fluid from the filling reservoir outlet to the receiving tank inlet, and couplings for selectively connecting the fluid transfer line to a filling reservoir outlet and a receiving tank inlet. The system further includes a vapor return line for conveying vapor from a receiving tank vent to a filling reservoir inlet to simultaneously prevent pressure from building in the tank and a vacuum from developing in the reservoir as fluid is transferred from the reservoir to the tank, and couplings for selectively connecting the vapor return line to the filling reservoir inlet and the receiving tank vent. In addition, the system includes a portable platform adapted for movement to a position near the filling reservoir and the receiving tank, and a pump mounted on the platform for selectively inducing fluid to travel through the fluid transfer line from the filling reservoir to the receiving tank when the reservoir outlet valve and the tank inlet valve are open. The system also includes a compressed gas source in communication with the fluid transfer line for blowing gas through the line to remove residual fluid from the line to prevent the escape of residual fluid and associated odor from the line when the fluid transfer line couplings are uncoupled from the filling reservoir outlet and the receiving tank inlet.

Each container has a liquid inlet and the two upper containers each have a liquid outlet, controlled by a valve in communication with the inlet of the container below it. In use, contact lenses are initially immersed in sterilizing solution in the middle container, and the upper container contains neutralizing solution. After a preset interval, a timed valve control device on the support operates the valves in sequence to discharge the sterilizing solution from the middle container into the lower container, and replace it with sterilizing solution from the upper container.
