Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods relate to selecting transmission parameters that optimize a dimension (e.g., time, frequency, and/or spatial) under a set of constraints. A UE may receive a resource allocation mode indication and a traffic parameter indication from a BS. The resource allocation mode indication informs the UE to optimize along a time dimension, a frequency dimension, and/or a spatial domain. The traffic parameter indication informs the UE what constraints to consider for the transmission parameters. The UE may use this information upon receipt of a reference signal in selecting transmission parameters based on the received reference signal, resource allocation mode indication, and traffic parameter indication. The resource allocation mode may correspond to optimization within a single slot or across multiple slots. Once selected, the UE may transmit the transmission parameters to the BS for use in sending the message to the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Devices of a wireless communications system may be configured to group data packets as a batch or file. In some cases, resources may be determined based on one or more resource grants corresponding to file communication. For example, a DCI may be specifically configured for granting resources for communication of a file. In another example, configured grants may include a configured grant index corresponding to communication of a file. Other aspects may include configuration of a UE for responding to a preemption indication when a file is scheduled for communication, power adjustments for communication of a file, reference signal configurations for communication of a file, and/or coherent detection/transmission across two or more packets of a file.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may obtain access to a base station by performing an initial access procedure within an initial access bandwidth that contains control channel resources. The UE may receive a configuration of a downlink bandwidth part (BWP) following the initial access procedure, and may determine that the downlink BWP fully contains the initial access bandwidth. In some cases, the UE may make the determination based on an indication sent from the base station. For instance, the indication may be provided as part of one or more control channel configurations transmitted to the UE. Based on determining that the downlink BWP fully contains the initial access bandwidth, the UE may monitor for control information in the downlink BWP using control channel resources in the downlink BWP that correspond to control channel resources used in the initial access bandwidth.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for uplink traffic alignment and/or uplink traffic aggregation in wireless communication systems. A user equipment (UE) is configured with a mechanism for signaling uplink transmit opportunities to an application client using an application programming interface (API) disposed between a modem of the UE and the application client that enables uplink traffic generated by the application client to be aligned. The API includes semi-static parameters that may be used when a common timer is configured between the application client and the modem, and/or dynamic parameters that may be used when a common timer is not configured between the application client and the modem. The API may also include an extended signaling scheme that may include no-transmission (No-Tx) indications that indicate intervals during which no transmissions are allowed. These No-Tx parameters apply to the semi-static and/or dynamic signaling scheme.
