Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are describe for signaling protocols for proximity service functions in a wireless communication system. A first wireless device may identify a group identity parameter associated with a multicast transmission of multimedia content. The first wireless device may map the identified group identity parameter to an identification parameter associated with at least one proximity service (ProSe) relay wireless device. The first wireless device may receive the multicast transmission of the multimedia content via the at least one ProSe relay wireless device based on the mapping of the identified group identity parameter to the identification parameter.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, some user equipment (UEs) may be configured for sidelink communications using a first radio access technology (RAT) (e.g., via a cellular network) and other wireless devices may be configured for sidelink communications using a second RAT (e.g., via a wireless local area network (WLAN)). In order to mitigate interference between communications using the first and second RAT, when a first UE is scheduled to transmit or receive a data transmission on a set of resources using the first RAT, the first UE may transmit a message using the second RAT indicating that the data transmission is to occur on the set of resources. Accordingly, the second device may receive the message and determine to refrain from communicating on the set of resources.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication at a wireless device. One method includes transmitting, during a TTI, a first message using a first MCS; and transmitting, during the TTI, a second message using a second MCS. The first message includes indications of a location, a heading, and a speed of the wireless device, and the second MCS is higher than the first MCS. Another method includes decoding a first message received during a TTI; performing a Doppler effect compensation for a second message based at least in part on the first message; and decoding the second message based at least in part on the Doppler effect compensation. The second message is also received during the TTI. The first message is decoded in accordance with a first MCS, and the second message is decoded in accordance with a second MCS, with the second MCS being higher than the first MCS.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to beamforming from a vehicle user equipment (UE). In a first aspect, a beamform vector is selected based on beamform data received from a scheduling entity. Here, the beamform data corresponds to a path between a vehicle UE and a base station or another vehicle, and the beamform vector includes respective phases and amplitudes corresponding to each of a plurality of antennas of the vehicle UE. A beam is then generated in accordance with the beamform vector. In another aspect, a database of beamform data is maintained, and beamform data from the database is retrieved. Here, the retrieved beamform data corresponds to a particular location pair that includes a first location associated with a location of a vehicle UE, and a second location associated with a location of a base station or another vehicle. The beamform data is then transmitted to the vehicle UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication at a UE. In accordance with the present disclosure, a number of user devices in a network may be divided into a plurality of service groups based in part on priority levels associated with each group. In some examples, a network may distribute a plurality of resource pools to each of the above-assigned groups. Thus, for proximity based service (ProSe) communication, user devices within each group may select resource pools corresponding to the priority levels of the groups associated with the user device. Thus, in accordance with the present disclosure, division of resources based on priority levels of groups and UEs may ensure greater reliability of access to resources for high priority communication.
