Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and device for dispersing powders and, in particular, to a method of dispersing inhaling powders in which a powder is positioned in a passage wherein the passage has one or more exits, one or more inlets and one or more obstructions to block the movement or to contain the powder within the device before use, whereupon a breaching pressure differential between the one or more exits and the one or more inlets of the passage is applied to breach the one or more obstructions so as to generate a flow through the passage which fully or partially aerosolizes the powder by means of the generated flow thus releasing a fully or partially aerosolized powder from the device.

Abstract: An improved HVAC system is provided for the delivery of a temperature controlled air supply via one or more air curtains provided at windows, doors and walls. The air curtains create a double layer of insulation over the surface of a window, door or wall. The invention provides for the use of the temperature controlled air flow from the air curtain to directly affect the interior room temperature. The invention provides an improved system for continuous cleaning the recycled air through the use of a wet electrostatic precipitator in the HVAC air flow, as well as providing a higher speed mode for the air curtain to prevent the inflow of particles and contaminants from outside of the building, when windows or doors are open. The invention may be installed on existing construction, or incorporated as part of new construction.

Abstract: Described embodiments provide a network processor having a plurality of processing modules coupled to a system cache and a shared memory. A memory manager allocates blocks of the shared memory to a requesting one of the processing modules. The allocated blocks store data corresponding to packets received by the network processor. The memory manager maintains a reference count for each allocated memory block indicating a number of processing modules accessing the block. One of the processing modules reads the data stored in the allocated memory blocks, stores the read data to corresponding entries of the system cache and operates on the data stored in the system cache. Upon completion of operation on the data, the processing module requests to decrement the reference count of each memory block. Based on the reference count, the memory manager invalidates the entries of the system cache and deallocates the memory blocks.

Abstract: Non-sequential monitoring of battery cells in battery monitoring systems, and related components, systems, and methods are disclosed. In one embodiment, a battery monitoring system control unit is provided. The battery monitoring system control unit is configured to control battery monitoring devices. Each battery monitoring device is configured to be coupled to a subset of battery cells electrically connected in series in a sequential order to form a battery. The battery monitoring system control unit is further configured to instruct the battery monitoring devices to test an ohmic value of each battery cell of the battery cells of the battery in a non-sequential order. In this manner, heat generated in the battery monitoring devices from the testing may be more effectively dissipated, which can also allow for the battery monitoring devices to be employed in higher operating temperature environments.
