    Abstract: A power supply circuit in an inverter for driving an electrical machine includes a high-voltage branch, a low-voltage branch, a backup supply branch, an operating DC/DC converter, which is connected on the one hand to the high-voltage branch and on the other hand to the low-voltage branch, a backup supply DC/DC converter, which is connected on the one hand to the high-voltage branch and on the other hand to the backup supply branch, an inverter circuit for connecting the electrical machine to the high-voltage branch, and a safety control device which is set up to switch the inverter circuit to a safe state when a shutdown situation is present, wherein the inverter circuit and the safety control device are supplied with energy from the low-voltage branch, wherein the inverter circuit and the safety control device are additionally supplied or can be supplied with energy from the backup supply branch.

    Abstract: A power supply unit (PSU) dynamically limits total recovery current. The PSU includes at least a power input, a power output, a historic maximum power draw memory, an update logic, and a recovery current limiting logic. Some implementations include a latest power measurement register, an hourly max power register, and a rolling max register, and controlling firmware. The update logic monitors a power level. The update logic updates the historic maximum power draw memory to match the monitored level. After a power interruption, the recovery current permitted to flow into the PSU is limited based on the historic usage. The recovery current may be limited in a constant, stepped, or ramped manner. The PSU may also provide power distribution. Multiple PSUs may be treated as a group, allowing an individual PSU to exceed its historic usage while the group's recovery currents are limited to the sum of historic usage levels.

The emergency power source is convenient for charging, can output a heavy current for starting an automobile, and can also accurately control heavy-current output.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a device for stabilizing the supply to a consumer from a buffer store, wherein during normal operation the consumer is supplied from an energy store. The device, which includes a DC-to-DC converter, a plurality of controllable switching elements and a control unit, is configured to (i) supply the consumer during normal operation, while bypassing components having power losses, directly from the energy store when the input voltage is greater than a preset first limit voltage, (ii) supply the consumer via the DC-to-DC converter fed from the energy store when the input voltage is below the first preset limit voltage, wherein the DC-to-DC converter converts the input voltage into an operating voltage of the consumer, and (iii) feed the DC-to-DC converter from the buffer store when the input voltage is below a second preset limit voltage until a voltage of the buffer store reaches the second preset limit voltage.

    Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system are described for a radial bus Shared Resource Distributed electrical power Distribution System, which has multiple electrical power distribution platforms and a radial power distribution bus. The multiple electrical power distribution platforms are coupled to the radial bus in an interlaced fashion to supply AC electrical power to the downstream electrical loads. The electrical loads are dual corded and are configured to nominally receive AC electrical power from two separate power distribution platforms. A first power distribution platform electrically connects to a first set of the dual corded electrical loads. Also, the first power distribution platform electrically connects to a second set of the dual corded electrical loads. A second power distribution platform electrically connects to the first set of the dual corded electrical loads, and the second power distribution platform electrically connects to a third set of the dual corded electrical loads.
