摘要: Systems and methods for interoperability are disclosed which allow for a user of one network to communicate seamlessly with a user of another network. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, a network bridge is provided. The network bridge may comprise a number of gateways and adapters for handling multiple protocols. In one embodiment an application bridge comprising an application server may be used to service communications while a billing bridge may be provided to control and charge network subscribers. Users are provided seamless access to data services in different networks without having to subscribe to those networks.

摘要: A baffle and screen arrangement for use in a rear projection display system with multiple imagers with the baffle being positionable with respect to the display screen of the console unit so that the baffle can interfere with at least one of the images produced by the imagers to allow the images to visually merge into a single, contiguous image with no halo effect, overlap, or excessive brightness and gaps. In one embodiment the baffle has an irregular, non-reflective light-absorbing surface to further reduce excessive unwanted image light from hitting the display screen and causing unwanted distortion.

摘要: A system, apparatus, or method for enabling an application developer to access the events, data and functionality of a device, such as a mobile phone, without being limited by the API provided by the device manufacturer. In some embodiments, the present invention utilizes a transparent gateway as a proxy that is inserted into the device stack to enable an application developer to access features and functions of the device beyond those exposed by the manufacturer provided API. For example, the transparent gateway may be inserted into the wireless stack of a mobile phone, in between the Bluetooth stack and the device's API. The transparent gateway may be installed in the mobile phone via an over the air provisioning or another suitable method.

摘要: Mobile device speaker control may include: monitoring one or more devices wirelessly coupled with a data network, receiving one or more data packets from each of the one or more devices, filtering received data packets by evaluating a received signal strength (e.g., RSSI) of the received packets, comparing the received signal strength of each of the received packets to a threshold to determine whether the one or more devices are to perform an action, and performing the action only if one or more indicia other than the received signal strength indicate a near field proximity within the threshold or a direct physical contact between a wireless device receiving the data packets and one of the one or more devices that is wirelessly transmitting the data packets.

摘要: Embodiments relate generally to electronics, computer software, wired and wireless network communications, wearable, hand held, and portable computing devices for facilitating wireless communication of information. Systems such as RF, A/V or proximity detection in at least one wireless media device may be configured to detect presence of a user(s) or wireless user devices, and may generate an acoustic environment that may persist for a time operative to render the sounds so generated imperceptible on a conscious level to the user(s). Upon terminating/altering the sounds, the user(s) may become consciously aware of the absence/change in the sounds and may take or refrain from some prescribed action. Hardware and/or software systems in one or more of the wireless media devices may execute an Awareness User Interface (AUI) configured to interact with the user(s) using verbal, audio, acoustic, visual, physical, image-based, gesture-based, tactile, haptic, or proximity-based inputs and/or outputs.

摘要: Embodiments relate generally to electrical and electronic hardware, computer software, wired and wireless network communications, electronic media presentation of audio and video, and wearable/mobile computing devices configured to facilitate communication among electronic devices, including mobile phones and media devices that present audio and/or video content. More specifically, disclosed are systems, components and methods to establish an overlay communication channel based on modulating and demodulating packet characteristics. In various embodiments, a packet characteristic modulator or demodulator can be disposed in a first device to establish at least a unidirectional communication link to autonomously discover suitable electronic devices, such as a second device, with which to collaborate. In one embodiment, a packet characteristic demodulator can be configured to acquire packet characteristic values to determine message data. A packet characteristic value corresponds to a symbol. The packets can be demodulated as a function of the packet characteristic values to form extracted symbols.

摘要: Embodiments of the present application relate generally to electrical and electronic hardware, computer software, wired and wireless network communications, wearable, hand held, and portable computing devices for facilitating communication of information and presentation of media. An ecosystem of wireless media devices may be in wireless communication with one another and with at least one wireless user device (e.g., smartphone, tablet or pad). The wireless media devices are configured to detect proximity and/or presence of wireless user devices, objects, or users in proximity of one or more of the wireless media devices and to capture and take over content handling from the at least one wireless user device. In some examples, the wireless media devices are powered by a rechargeable power source, such as a rechargeable battery or the like. Wireless media devices may vary in size such as personal, pocketable, portable, ultra-portable, head worn, shared household, table top, etc.
