摘要: Techniques for modifying operation of sensors using collected sensor data are provided herein. Sensor data describing a physical environment of a user authorized to access an access-controlled resource is collected according to an initial mode of operation. The initial mode of operation defines an initial performance for at least one sensor used to collect the sensor data. In response to detecting presence of a different user in the physical environment of the authorized user based on the sensor data, the at least one sensor is switched from the initial mode of operation to a modified mode of operation. The modified mode of operation is different than the initial mode of operation and defines a revised performance for the at least one sensor used to collect the sensor data.

摘要: The disclosure is related to adaptive encoding of video streams from a camera. A camera system includes a camera and a base station connected to each other in a first communication network, which can be a wireless network. When a user requests to view a video from the camera, the base station obtains an encoded video stream from the camera and transmits the encoded video stream to a user device. The base station monitors multiple environmental parameters, such as network parameters, camera parameters, and system parameters of the base station, and instructs the camera to adjust the encoding of the video stream, in an event one or more environmental parameters change.

摘要: The disclosure is related to adaptive transcoding of video streams from a camera. A camera system includes a camera and a base station connected to each other in a first communication network, which can be a wireless network. When a user requests to view a video from the camera, the base station obtains a video stream from the camera, transcodes the video stream, based on one or more input parameters, to generate a transcoded video stream, and transmits the transcoded video stream to a user device. The base station can transcode the video stream locally, e.g., within the base station, or in a cloud network based on transcoding location factors. Further, the camera system can also determine whether to stream the video to the user directly from the base station or from the cloud network based on streaming location factors.

摘要: A motion sensor includes an infrared detector with a first set of detector elements and a second set of detector elements. The motion sensor also includes an optical system to direct electromagnetic energy from a first row of monitored volumes spaced at a pitch in a first direction onto the first set of detector elements and to direct electromagnetic energy from a second row of monitored volumes spaced at the pitch in the first direction onto the second set of detector elements. The second row of monitored volumes has an offset from the first set of monitored volumes in the first direction and the first row of monitored volumes and second row of monitored volumes are substantially non-overlapping.

摘要: An electro-optical detector is provided. The detector includes a mounting support adapted to be secured to a fixed structure and an alignable component which is connected to the mounting support through an adjustment mechanism capable of altering the relative position of the alignable component during commissioning of the detector. The detector further has a detachable controller unit including a communication module which receives instructions from a remote communication device in response to which the adjustment mechanism alters the alignable component's position relative to the mounting support.
