    Abstract: A security system can use video analytics and/or other input parameters to identify a theft event. Optionally, the security system can take remedial action in response. For example, the security system can use video analytics to determine that a person has reached into a shelf multiple times at a rate above a threshold, which can indicate that a thief is quickly removing items from the shelf. The security system can also use video analytics to determine that a person has reached into a shelf via a sweeping action, which can indicate that a thief is gathering and removing a large quantity of items from the shelf in one motion. In response, the security system can alert security personnel, cause a speaker to output an audible message in the target area, flag portions of the video relating to the theft event, activate or ready other sensors or systems, and/or the like.

    Abstract: An electronic monitoring system has one or more imaging devices that can detect a triggering event based on motion and/or sound and that concurrently provide a push notification to a user device with a custom audio alert indicative of the one or more triggering events for quickly identifying the triggering without requiring the remote device to execute a dedicated application program. The custom audio alert portion of the push notification may provide various details of the triggering event, categorized as either a genus level triggering event and/or a species level triggering event, i.e., a subset of the genus level triggering event. The push notification can operate as a custom audio alert and a pop-up message which can be pushed to the device and broadcast or displayed via an operating system of the device.

The first mode may be a master-controller mode in which the user device's graphics are displayed in portrait orientation, and the second mode may be a panel mode in which the user device's graphics are displayed in landscape orientation.

    Abstract: This document describes techniques directed to a modular floodlight system. The modular floodlight system includes a floodlight device having a main housing that supports multiple floodlights and a modular camera device. The main housing includes a magnetic mount that magnetically secures the camera device to a mounting surface and enables 3-axis articulation of the camera device relative to the main housing. The main housing also includes a power supply unit that supplies electrical power to the camera device and the floodlights. In aspects, the floodlights are assembled to opposing sides of the main housing. In addition, the main housing includes passive infrared sensors that expand and supplement motion-detection capabilities of the camera device. The modular aspect of the modular floodlight system enables the camera device to be easily replaced with another modular device, simplifies installation for consumers, and increases an ability of the modular floodlight system to be reworked.

    Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for determining a time-length of an action are provided. For example, a first event may be detected.
