摘要: An antenna arrangement (1) comprising an antenna array is disclosed. The antenna array comprises N antenna elements (2) (N being an integer ≥3). Moreover, each antenna element is connected to an electronics module (3) out of P electronics modules, P being an integer such that 3≤P≤N, where each electronics module is configured to generate an output signal indicative of a signal received by a corresponding one or more antenna elements. The antenna arrangement further comprises control circuitry (10) connected to the antenna array. The control circuitry is configured to receive each output signal, compute a sum of cross-correlations between each output signal and a set of other output signals originating from other corresponding antenna elements, and determine at least one angle of a direction of arrival of the electromagnetic waves relative to the antenna array based on the computed sum.

摘要: The present disclosure discloses a three-dimensional co-prime cubic array direction-of-arrival estimation method based on a cross-correlation tensor, mainly solving the problems of multi-dimensional signal structured information loss and Nyquist mismatch in existing methods and comprising the following implementing steps: constructing a three-dimensional co-prime cubic array; carrying out tensor modeling on a receiving signal of the three-dimensional co-prime cubic array; calculating six-dimensional second-order cross-correlation tensor statistics; deducing a three-dimensional virtual uniform cubic array equivalent signal tensor based on cross-correlation tensor dimension merging transformation; constructing a four-dimensional virtual domain signal tensor based on mirror image augmentation of the three-dimensional virtual uniform cubic array; constructing a signal and noise subspace in a Kronecker product form through virtual domain signal tensor decomposition; and acquiring a direction-of-arrival estimation result based on three-dimensional spatial spectrum search.

摘要: An antenna apparatus for use in a wireless network and method of operating such an antenna apparatus are provided. A wireless network controller provides a configuration of such an antenna apparatus, a method of operating such a wireless network controller, and a resulting wireless network. The antenna apparatus comprises a directional antenna and a uniform circular antenna array. The directional antenna can be rotatably positioned about an axis with respect to a fixed mounting portion of the apparatus in dependence on wireless signals received by the antenna array. The antenna array allows the antenna apparatus to receive wireless signals isotropically and thus to accurately monitor the wireless signal environment in which it finds itself. The antenna apparatus can thus monitor and characterise incoming signals, both from external interference sources and from other network nodes, and the directional antenna can then be positioned in rotation to improve the network throughput.

摘要: Techniques for determining a location of a client device using recursive phase vector subspace estimation are described. One technique includes receiving a plurality of angle-of-arrival (AoA) measurements from a plurality of access points (APs). Each AoA measurement includes a plurality of entries for phase values measured from a signal received from a client device at the plurality of APs. At least one AoA measurement of the plurality of AoA measurements that includes at least one of: (i) one or more entries with missing phase values and (ii) one or more entries with erroneous phase values is identified, based on a recursive phase estimation. The plurality of AoA measurements are updated based on the identified at least one AoA measurement. The location of the client device is determined, based on the updated plurality of AoA measurements.

摘要: The disclosure provides a method for estimating a direction of arrival of an L-type coprime array based on coupled tensor decomposition. The method includes: constructing an L-type coprime array with separated sub-arrays and modeling a received signal; deriving a fourth-order covariance tensor of the received signal of the L-type coprime array; deriving a fourth-order virtual domain signal corresponding to an augmented virtual uniform cross array; dividing the virtual uniform cross array by translation; constructing a coupled virtual domain tensor by stacking a translation virtual domain signal; and obtaining a direction of arrival estimation result by coupled virtual domain tensor decomposition. The present invention makes full use of the spatial correlation property of the virtual domain tensor statistics of the constructed L-type coprime array with the separated sub-arrays, and realizes high-precision two-dimensional direction of arrival estimation by coupling the virtual domain tensor processing, which can be used for target positioning.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for establishing directional communications between two communication nodes via a configurable reflective surface. In some aspects, an assisting node (AN) may control a reflection characteristic (which may dictate or influence how signals reflect off of the configurable reflective surface) in accordance with parameters or configurations for directional communication between the two communication nodes. For example, the AN may use a first beam for directional communication with the first node and a second beam for directional communication with the second node, and the AN may control the reflection characteristic in accordance with an inferred incident direction of signaling at the configurable reflective surface and a desired reflected direction of the signaling from the configurable reflective surface that are associated with the first beam and the second beam, respectively.
