摘要: A modular manifold system is provided for interconnecting fluid components of a fluid system in a reduced area. The system is comprised of a one or more bridge fittings having an internal fluid passageway which has an inlet end in fluid communication with an outlet port of a first fluid component, and an outlet end in fluid communication with an inlet port of a second fluid component. The bridge fittings may additionally comprise two or more ports, which one of said ports may be in fluid communication with a manifold on another substrate level. The bridge fittings may be mounted within a channel of a backing plate for structural support or in channel blocks of varying sizes. An optional locator plate may be utilized which is mounted over the ends of the bridge fittings in order to align the inlet and outlet ports of the fluid components with the inlet and outlet ends of the bridge fittings. The bridge fittings may also be mounted to the locator plate in multiple directions forming multiple flow paths. Additionally, the bridge fittings may be stacked to form multiple layers where bridge fittings of one layer may be in fluid communication with bridge fittings of another layer. The invention may further comprise seals provided in a recess between the fluid ports and the mating bridge fittings ends.

摘要: Microfluidic devices having porous materials that restrict fluid flow rate for a given pressure are provided. Multiple porous regions can be constructed in a single device so that they have different valving capabilities or impedances, and in unison can control the overall direction of fluid flow. Porous regions can be constructed in various ways, such as, for example: by inserting porous materials into or between channels; by sandwiching one or more sheets or layers of porous materials between other layers of a device; or by inserting a liquid, solution, slurry, or suspension into a microfluidic channel and then permitting the formation of porous deposits by promoting at least partial evaporation. Adhesive tape may be used for one or more layers of such a microfluidic device.

摘要: Universal valve mounting device for mounting a variety of valve actuators to a variety of valves is disclosed. The universal valve mounting device includes a mounting plate and a valve actuator fastener provided on the mounting plate. A valve mounting fastener is likewise provided on the mounting plate, and the mounting plate is configured for securing a variety of valves to a respective variety of valve actuators each having a variety of valve mounting plate fasteners locations. The mounting plate may include a bend configured for creating a thermal break for providing air flow between an actuator mounted to the mounting plate and the mounting plate. A slot may likewise be provided on the mounting plate that is of sufficient size and length to accommodate various sizes and spacing of fasteners for securing a mounting plate to a variety of valve actuators, in use. The bend may include a leg.

摘要: In a hot melt adhesive applicator of a slot die type or other type having an air supply to an adhesive service block through solenoids controlling the ON-OFF of the pneumatic adhesive applicator valves, one or more air valves are directly mounted to the service block through an intervening air supply manifold base plate positioned atop an insulation plate to significantly decrease the air path length and decrease the response time of the air valve. The insulation element may be mounted within an elongate recess formed in the top surface of the service block. The insulation element may be formed with cutouts to reduce the mass of the insulation element and to provide better air insulation exposure between the bottom surface of the valve base manifold and the bottom of the recess exposed by the cutouts.

摘要: A modular fluid control system, comprising: a control module for receiving parallel electronic control signals as a plurality of data streams, the control module including a control unit configured to convert the data streams of the parallel electronic control signals to serial electronic control signals, each including a plurality of data pulses as control instruction signals, and an electrical connector; a plurality of valve modules, each valve module including at least one valve operable to control the flow of pressurized fluid; and a plurality of manifold modules connectable in series to the control module and connected to respective ones of the valve modules, each manifold module including a fluid supply conduit to provide a common manifold for receiving pressurized fluid, first and second electrical connectors for connection with ones of the connectors of adjacent manifold modules and the connector of the control module to provide an electrical bus for transmission of the serial control signals and power supply, and a control unit configured to decode one or more of the first-received data pulses of the serial control signals, control the respective valve module accordingly, and pass any remaining data pulses as a modified serial control signal from which the decoded data pulses have been one of removed or blocked to the control unit of any downstream manifold module.

摘要: A structure for fixing a washer for preventing the deviation of the structure engaged with the inner side of a injection molded pipe holder. A control valve for a gas cylinder comprises a pipe holder having a passage on the outer peripheral surface thereof and injection molded such that a space for engaging a structure and a liner recess having a periphery corresponding to the outer diameter of the structure are formed at the lower portion thereof, and a washer for preventing the deviation and the flowing of the structure with which the pipe is engaged. A plurality of embossed bosses are pressed to the lower portion of the washer by pressing the bosses along the periphery of the extending surface of the engaging inlet of the structure of the pipe holder from a liner recess formed at the lower portion of the pipe holder by using an exterior pressing device to fixing the washer to the pipe holder.

摘要: The present invention refers to a novel apparatus and method to restrict pneumatic flow in a planar manifold. A forming tool of specific geometry is pressed into a planar manifold causing the pneumatic channel inside to collapse onto itself in a predictable and controllable way, therefore restricting the fluid flow in the pneumatic channel. The geometry of the forming tool is provided with angles and radii so that the planar manifold is not ripped during the pressing operation. Further, the geometry limits the deformed area so that distortion of adjacent pneumatic channels, and the potential for springing leaks between layers is minimized. In a preferred embodiment, the tooling also provides flow measurement while the forming tool is pressed into the planar manifold at a specific orientation.

摘要: A new architecture for packaging surface micromachined electro-microfluidic devices is presented. This architecture relies on two scales of packaging to bring fluid to the device scale (picoliters) from the macro-scale (microliters). The architecture emulates and utilizes electronics packaging technology. The larger package consists of a circuit board with embedded fluidic channels and standard fluidic connectors (e.g. Fluidic Printed Wiring Board). The embedded channels connect to the smaller package, an Electro-Microfluidic Dual-Inline-Package (EMDIP) that takes fluid to the microfluidic integrated circuit (MIC). The fluidic connection is made to the back of the MIC through Bosch-etched holes that take fluid to surface micromachined channels on the front of the MIC. Electrical connection is made to bond pads on the front of the MIC.

摘要: The present invention relates to a high-pressure hydraulic valve in which the housing (1) at least and also preferably the operational parts, such as the main control piston (3), the manometer piston (6) and the like which are arranged inside said housing (1) and influence the hydraulic oil flow, are made of an aluminium alloy that can be hardened and tempered. The weight of the high-pressure hydraulic valve can therefore be substantially reduced. The surfaces of the parts made of the aluminium alloy that can be hardened and tempered are advantageously submitted to anodic oxidation in order to increase even more their wear resistance. This type of high-pressure hydraulic valve with a particularly light weight is mainly intended for use in mobile hydraulic systems such as those used in mobile cranes, in lifting platforms and in excavators.
