摘要: A non-invasive product customization system and a method of customizing a product formulation is provided. Brain activity of a user is detected in response to an input of a product formulation into a brain of the user via a sensory nervous system of the user. A mental state of the user is detected based on the detected brain activity. The product formulation is modified based on the determined mental state of the user. The modified product formulation may be presented to the user in a manner that modulates the mental state of the user.

摘要: An automated evoked potential analysis apparatus for improved monitoring, detecting and identifying changes to a patient's physiological system is described. The apparatus includes an input device for obtaining electrical potential data from the patient's physiological system after application of stimulation to a patient's nerve and a computing system for receiving and analyzing the electrical potential data. The computing system includes a processing circuit configured to: generate a plurality of evoked potential waveforms (EPs) based on the electrical potential data, measure changes or trends in the generated EPs utilizing a sliding window of analysis, display incremental changes in waveforms between full subsets of EPs, and determine an alert vote for each subset, representative of changes to the physiological system generating the EPs.

摘要: The invention concerns a method for calibrating a system for real-time measurement of the activity of a cognitive function of a test subject, the method comprising the successive steps of: acquiring electrical signals representative of a neural activity of a test subject; calculating values of markers of the cognitive function activity; generating a plurality of copies of calculated values of markers and adding noise to the generated copies; and, constructing a classifier by machine learning, based on the calculated marker values and noisy copies, the classifier being suitable for measuring the activity of the cognitive function of the test subject by calculating a probability that an electrical signal representative of the neural activity of the test subject results from a predetermined activity state of the cognitive function of the test subject.

摘要: Systems and methods associated with brain computer interfaces (BCIs) are disclosed. Embodiments herein include features related to one or more of optical-based brain signal acquisition and/or processing, decoding/encoding modalities, brain-computer interfacing, AR/VR content interaction, and/or electronic wave (E-wave) detection, determination and/or processing, among other features. Certain example implementations may include or involve aspects or processes such as monitoring the gaze and brain activity of a user (e.g., via a BCI, etc.) interacting with a user interface (UI), detecting that the gaze of the user is directed at an element of the UI, detecting or processing an E-wave in temporal conjunction with the gaze at the element, determining that the users intends to interact with the element, and/or triggering an interaction with the element. Further, aspects of present systems and methods may be configured to leverage BCIs and/or non-invasive wearable device features to provide enhanced user interactions for various devices.

摘要: A head mountable device for detecting a functional disorder of a brain in a patient, includes: an opaque visor unit for positioning over eyes of the patient, a plurality of reference sensors adapted to detect a reference electrical potential for the patient during exposure to the visual stimulus, and a sensor housing including at least one electroencephalogram (EEG) electrode for measuring electrical potential generated by the brain of the patient. The visor unit includes an arrangement of a plurality of LEDs positioned on an inside surface of said visor unit to which, during use, the eyes of the patient are exposed, and an LED driver, said LED driver being configured to control each of said LEDs independently to display a visual stimulus.

摘要: A probe device is disclosed that includes one or more insulating layers and a glassy carbon layer. The glassy carbon layer includes one or more channels. Each channel includes a microstructure, which may include an electrode region, interconnect region, and bump pad region. The electrode region may be placed in contact with a human or animal patient or test subject and used to collect or deliver signals in applications such as electrocorticography (ECoG), electromyography (EMG), and neural stimulation. A method of making a probe includes depositing a glassy carbon precursor on a substrate, patterning the precursor using photolithography, pyrolyzing the precursor to allow the formation of glassy carbon, and depositing one or more insulating layers.

摘要: A method of estimating attention comprises: receiving encephalogram (EG) data corresponding to signals collected from a brain of a subject synchronously with stimuli applied to the subject. The EG data are segmented into segments, each corresponding to a single stimulus. The method also comprises dividing each segment of the EG data into a first time-window having a fixed beginning relative to a respective stimulus, and a second time-window having a varying beginning relative to the respective stimulus. The method also comprises processing the time-windows to determine the likelihood for a given segment to describe an attentive state of the brain.
