    摘要: A method of grinding an ingot for use in manufacturing a semiconductor or solar wafer is disclosed. The method includes providing an ingot including four flat sides and four rounded corner portions, each corner portion extending between an adjacent pair of the flat sides, and grinding a plurality of planar facets on each corner portion, each planar facet of the corner portion joined to an adjacent facet at a juncture and oriented such that each corner portion has a substantially arcuate shape.     摘要: An apparatus and method for removing a portion of material from the surface of a ceramic include a table with a rotatable wheel thereon. A pad is disposed on the rotatable wheel such that the pad can remain on the rotatable wheel as the wheel is rotated but is removable from the wheel when not in use. A recrystallized silicon carbide disk is disposed on the pad having sufficient friction to remain on the pad as the wheel and pad are rotated but is removable from the rotatable wheel and pad when not in use.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for fabricating a liquid crystal display panel are disclosed. In case of the single mode that liquid crystal display panels are fabricated with the same size on a large glass substrate, defective unit liquid crystal display panels are kept and discarded not to proceed with a follow-up process. Thus, a material waste is restrained and a yield can be improved. Meanwhile, in case of the multi-mode that liquid crystal display panels are fabricated with difference sizes on a large glass substrate, sub-models are kept, and then after completing the process for the main models, a follow-up process if performed on the sub-models. Thus use efficiency of the glass substrate can be maximized to improve a productivity and a unit cost of the product can be reduced.

Multiple ball bodies are respectively rollably disposed in the air rooms, the bottom edge of the ball bodies protrude from the bottom face of the base seat. When high pressure air and water are conducted into the air way and water way, the air is conducted by the air way to flow into the air chamber and to blow to the ball bodies in the air rooms making the ball bodies rolling easily. The water flows through the water way into the water chamber and then flows through the water outlets out of the bottom face of the base seat to reduce frictional force against the bottom face of the base seat.

    摘要: A method and tool for chipping the edges of natural stone tile may be used to give the tile a used or rustic appearance. The tool includes an axially-rotatable, cylindrical member having an array of studs affixed or embedded in the cylindrical surface. A drive shaft, affixed to one end of the cylindrical member, may be inserted within the chuck of a powered drill motor or other similar powered device. A handle is rotatably coupled to the opposite end of the cylindrical member. For a preferred embodiment of the invention, the handle consists of a tubular sleeve which is rotatably mounted on bearing races over a support shaft that is rigidly and coaxially affixed to the cylindrical member. In order to use the tool, the drive shaft is secured within the chuck of a drill motor or other similar device designed to provide powered rotary motion to a shaft. With the operator holding both the drill motor and the handle of the chipping tool, the rotating studded cylindrical member is moved along and against the edge of a piece of natural stone tile. The edge of the tile is thereby chipped or abraded.

    摘要: Accressory burnishing-treatment apparatus for treatment, namely deburring, turning corners, polishing or cleaning of elements, namely metal, plastic, or ceramic (typically glass) elements. The apparatus is a self-contained hollow sphere, preferably made from substantially abrasion-resistant plastic, that works in conjunction with typically any traditional vibratory tumbling machine. The apparatus preferably has a screw-in port lid or closure member which opens to spherical inner space allowing insertion and later removal from the spherical inner space each of elements after treatment thereof, and removal of that was media necessary for the treatment. Liquid and/or dry or wet media may be used with the elements in combination. The self-contained hollow sphere together with any media and abrasive(s) and elements to be treated, locked therein by its male closure member, is placed into media and abrasives or the like contained for treatment by a vibratory tumbling machine where when activated, when the vibrations and tumbling action of the vibratory tumbling machine transfers its vibrations and movement to the closed sphere and its contents such that the treatment of elements within the sphere is accomplished on the isolated elements within the spherical inner space.
