    Abstract: A display device comprises a display panel and an optical plate. The display panel comprises a surface comprising a display area and a non-display area, the display panel further comprising a bending portion that is bent and a non-bending portion that is not bent. The display panel comprises: a base substrate, an array of pixels formed over the base substrate, and electrically conductive lines disposed over the base substrate and electrically connecting the array of pixels to an exterior device, the electrically conductive lines comprising at least one extension formed in the bending portion and overlapping the non-display area when viewed in a thickness direction of the display panel. The optical plate is disposed over the display panel, and comprises: a first optical plate portion covering the display area, and a second optical plate portion covering the at least one extension of the electrically conductive lines.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a display panel, including providing a plurality of display substrates spaced apart from each other by a predetermined area disposed therebetween when viewed in a plan view, each of the display substrates including a display area, on which an image is displayed, and each of the display substrates being flexible; attaching a first film onto the display substrates to overlap with the display substrates; attaching a second film onto the first film; and substantially and simultaneously cutting the first and second films along a cutting line defined in an area overlapping with the predetermined area.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a flat portion and a bending portion located at a side of the flat portion, an optical film attached on the flat portion of the display panel, and a bending protection layer covering at least a part of the bending portion and contacting one edge of the optical film. The edge of the optical film includes an upper surface, a lower surface and a side surface, the lower surface of the optical film faces an upper surface of the display panel, at least a part of the side surface of the optical film contacts the bending protection layer, and at least a part of the side surface of the optical film protrudes more, as closer to the upper side.
