    Abstract: A method for impulsive noise mitigation using an adaptive blanker based on BPSK modulation system includes estimating narrowband Middleton parameters of impulsive noise from signals received for a fixed time period; calculating a threshold using the estimated narrowband Middleton parameters; operating the first blanker to suppress impulsive noise from the signal received at a given point of time through the comparison of the SNR value of the received signal and the threshold. Further, the method includes operating the second blanker to suppress impulsive noise from the received signal through the comparison of the summation of the threshold and the SNR value with an absolute value of the received signal, when the SNR value is above the threshold.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for evaluating statistical interference concerning a multi-source noise environment of an electromagnetic (EM) zone are disclosed. The apparatus for evaluating statistical interference may include a receiver to receive an EM wave in a preset frequency band, a spectrum analyzer to analyze the received EM wave and to measure interference in the preset frequency band, a frequency selector to select an interest frequency in the frequency band based on a level of the measured interference, an amplitude probability distribution (APD) measurement unit to measure an APD of an interference signal with respect to the interest frequency, and a comparator to compare the measured APD to a preset limit and to draw a probability of the limit or higher of interference occurring.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a low-power communication method and a low-power communication apparatus in a communication system. A low-power station may comprise a processor; a memory storing at least one instruction executable by the processor; a receiver for receiving a WUR PPDU according to the at least one instruction; and a transceiver for transmitting and receiving a legacy PPDU according to the at least one instruction, and the at least one instruction may be configured to cause the receiver to receive a WUR wake-up frame from the access point in an on-duration within a WUR duty cycle period; when the WUR wake-up frame is received, cause the processor to transmit a first signal requesting wake-up to the transceiver; and when the first signal is received, cause the transceiver to transition from a sleep state to a wake-up state at a TWT configured between the access point and the low-power station.
