Abstract: A method of encoding a video stream is provided, including obtaining a first image with a first FOV; encoding the first image as part of a first encoded video frame; obtaining a second image with a second FOV different from the first FOV; generating a first additional video frame referencing the first video frame, including motion vectors transforming image content of the first image to a FOV closer to the second FOV than the first FOV, wherein the motion vectors are formed based on a difference between the first and second FOVs; inserting the first additional video frame into the encoded video stream as a no-display frame, and encoding the second image as part of a second video frame of the encoded video stream referencing the first additional video frame. A corresponding device, computer program and computer program product are also provided.

Abstract: A method of detecting a reflection in a first thermal image captured by a thermal image sensor and, a second image is captured by a visible light sensor, near infrared sensor, or short-wave infrared sensor having a field of view which overlaps a field of view of the thermal image. A relationship between coordinates in the thermal image and the second image is determined. A first object is detected in a first position in the thermal image. A candidate image area in a second position in the second image is analysed to determine if anx 10 object equivalent to the first object is present, the second position corresponding to the first position according to the relationship between the coordinates in the thermal image and the second image. In response to a determination that there is no equivalent object in candidate image area, it is determined that first object is a reflection.

Abstract: A method of masking or marking an object in an image stream is provided, including: generating one or more output image streams by processing an input image stream capturing a scene, including discarding pixel information about the scene provided by pixels of the input image stream, such that the discarded pixel information about the scene is not included in any output image stream; and detecting an object in the scene using the discarded pixel information, wherein generating the one or more output image streams includes masking or marking the detected object in at least one output image stream once deciding that the object is at least partially visible within this at least one output image stream. Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for processing a stream of image frames captured by a camera system. When an image frame from the stream of image frames is dropped, a current camera movement is determined. A substitute image frame for the dropped image frame is generated. The substitute image frame comprises a reference to a previous image frame and includes one or more motion vectors estimated solely based on the determined current camera movement. Remaining image frames in the stream of image frames are encoded and the substitute image frame is inserted at the place of the dropped image frame in the stream of encoded image frames.

Abstract: High dynamic range imaging includes first image data captured using a first image sensor and a first exposure time, using a rolling shutter such that different lines within the first image data are captured at different times. Two or more instances of second image data are captured using second image sensors and second exposure times that are shorter than the first exposure time. The second image data are captured using a rolling shutter, and overlap at least in part with the first image data. A line of the first image data has a corresponding line in each instance of second image data, and the corresponding instances of second image data are captured at different second capture times. For a line in the first image data, the corresponding line from the instance of second image data is selected to be merged with the line in the first image data.

Abstract: A method for encoding an image frame, performed by an image processing device, comprising obtaining image data, and identifying an image area in an image frame based on that the image area fulfilling an identification criterion. The method further comprises determining a bit depth reduction factor for the identified image area by analyzing the image data in the identified image area, and replacing some of the bit values of the pixel values in the identified image area with dummy values. How many of the bit values that are replaced with dummy values is defined by the bit depth reduction factor. The method comprises encoding the image frame upon said some of the bit values having been replaced in the identified image area.
