    Abstract: Plasma generators and methods of generating plasma are disclosed. Electrodes in a reaction zone are energized by a high voltage power source that is electrically insulated from the electrodes. A first conductor array, preferably a coil, is electrically coupled to the power source and electrically insulated from the electrodes. A second conductor array, preferably a coaxial coil nested within the first conductor array, is electrically coupled to the electrodes. Electromagnetic induction between the first conductor array and the second conductor array is used to energize the electrodes and generate a plasma in the reaction zone. One or more microwaves are further directed at the plasma to form microwave plasma, either in parallel or in series. Such plasmas are used to reform a hydrocarbon feedstock into low C hydrocarbons, carbon, or hydrogen. Plasma generators combining induction plasma with serial microwave plasmas are further contemplated.

    Abstract: An instrument for electrosurgical treatment including an instrument head which forms a conveying body with a gas-fillable lumen. The lumen is connected to at least one first opening and at least one second opening in the instrument head. A primary stream of gas leaves through the first opening. The second opening is arranged such that a secondary stream exits the second opening next to the primary stream and/or with additional secondary streams out of additional second openings—away from the instrument head, at least partially peripherally surrounding the primary stream. An electrode is located in the flow of gas exiting out of the first opening for igniting a plasma between the first opening and the tissue to be treated. Due to the secondary stream accompanying the primary stream, an ignition of the plasma is successful even if the instrument is at a relatively large distance from the tissue.

    Abstract: A control circuit for at least two drivers is provided. Each of the two drivers is configured to switch on and off electrically driven switching elements that are electrically connected to each other. The control circuit includes a first parallel-to-serial-converter including a first parallel input port and a first serial output-port connectable to a first driver, a second parallel-to-serial-converter including a second parallel input port and a second serial output-port connectable to a second driver, and a processor unit configured to send a first data package stream to the first parallel input port, and send a second data package stream to the second parallel input port. Both the first data package stream and the second data package stream are configured to be converted to serial-data-streams at the first serial output-port and the second serial output-port, respectively. The serial data-streams are configured to control the at least two drivers.

    Abstract: An elongate electrode is configured to flex and generate plasma to incise tissue. An electrical energy source operatively coupled to the electrode is configured to provide electrical energy to the electrode to generate the plasma. A tensioning element is operatively coupled to the elongate electrode. The tensioning element can be configured to provide tension to the elongate electrode to allow the elongate electrode to flex in response to the elongate electrode engaging the tissue and generating the plasma. The tensioning element operatively coupled to the flexible elongate electrode may allow for the use of a small diameter electrode, such as a 5 μm to 20 μm diameter electrode, which can allow narrow incisions to be formed with decreased tissue damage. In some embodiments, the tensioning of the electrode allows the electrode to more accurately incise tissue by decreasing variations in the position of the electrode along the incision path.

    Abstract: A capacitor capable of releasing reactive oxygen species and reactive nitrogen species after powering of claim 1 is composed of the dielectric material. A plurality of through holes are designed on the capacitor, the through holes being used as air gaps to supply plasma gas and blow a fan to increase the gas flow, and the voltage being connected to the two corresponding electrode edges of the capacitor so that the capacitor generating a heating temperature (lower than 200 degrees Celsius). Thereby, after the capacitor is perforated to form honeycomb shape and powered, the air surrounding the capacitor flowing through the capacitor is ionized to the oxygen ion and nitrogen ion via heating and charge-discharge, generates plasma at room temperature and atmospheric pressure and releases the reactive oxygen ions and reactive nitrogen ions healing and helpful for body healing.
