摘要: A combination microwave and refrigerator system is provided. The microwave oven is connected to a source of power and has at least one control circuit for controlling the operation of the microwave oven. A first power supply outlet is provided on the microwave oven. A refrigerator is connected to the source of power by connection to the first power supply outlet. The control circuit is configured to disable the cooling operation of the refrigerator, when the microwave oven demands cooking power, and enable the cooling operation of the refrigerator when the microwave oven is not drawing cooking power. A safety sensor is provided in the microwave oven, and is configured to cause cooking power to the microwave oven to be turned off upon the safety sensor sensing smoke or other conditions.

摘要: A system includes a radio frequency (RF) signal source configured to supply an RF signal. An electrode is coupled to the RF signal source and a transmission path is between the RF signal source and the electrode. The transmission path is configured to convey the RF signal from the RF signal source to the electrode to cause the electrode to radiate RF electromagnetic energy into a cavity. Power detection circuitry is coupled to the transmission path and configured to repeatedly measure RF power values including at least one of forward RF power values and reflected RF power values along the transmission path. A controller is configured to determine that a load in the cavity is a low-loss load based on a rate of change of the RF power values, and cause the RF signal source to supply the RF signal with the one or more desired signal parameters.

摘要: Power amplifier electronics for controlling application of radio frequency (RF) energy generated using solid state electronic components may further be configured to control application of RF energy in cycles between high and low powers. The power amplifier electronics may include a semiconductor die on which one or more RF power transistors are fabricated, an output matching network configured to provide impedance matching between the semiconductor die and external components operably coupled to an output tab, and bonding ribbon bonded at terminal ends thereof to operably couple the one or more RF power transistors of the semiconductor die to the output matching network. The bonding ribbon may have a width of greater than about five times a thickness of the bonding ribbon.

摘要: Systems and methods for user configurable cooking appliances include receiving system resources having associated budgets, facilitating user allocation the system resources to a plurality of heating elements without exceeding the associate budgets, applying the system resources to the heating elements to heat one or more food substances within a cooking chamber, and selectively regulating delivery of the system resources to the heating elements such that no more than the associated budget of each of the system resources is delivered to the heating elements. Computing components can execute a heating algorithm to cook at least one food substance in the cooking chamber, detect a state change of the food substance, and modify the heating algorithm to reconfigure the system resources supplied to the heating elements in response to the state change and in accordance with user configured allocation and associated budgets for the system resources.

摘要: A magnetron filter board for a microwave oven is disclosed. In embodiments, the magnetron filter board includes a printed circuit board with a first trace and a second trace on the printed circuit board. The first trace includes a first end for connecting to a magnetron and a second end for connecting to a power supply unit. The second trace also includes a first end for connecting to the magnetron and a second end for connecting to the power supply unit. The first trace and the second trace can be configured as a radio frequency band-gap filter that mitigates noise associated with the connection between the magnetron and the power supply unit.

摘要: Systems and methods include a cooking appliance comprising a heating element disposed within a cooking chamber and operable to selectively emit waves at any of a plurality of powers and/or peak wavelengths, a camera operable to capture an image of the cooking chamber, and a computing device operable to supply power to the heating element to vary the power and/or peak wavelength of the emitted waves and generate heat within the cooking chamber, and instruct the camera to capture the image when the heating element is emitting at a stabilized power and/or peak wavelength. The computing device is operable to generate an adjusted captured image by adjusting the captured image with respect to the stabilized power and/or peak wavelength. The computing device comprises feedback components operable to receive the adjusted captured image, extract features, and analyze the one or more features to determine an event, property, measurement and/or status.
