    摘要: A communication device, method, and computer program product reduce power consumption when one or more transmit chains can be inactivated without unsatisfactory uplink communication quality in single data layer transmit diversity (TxDiv) or multiple input multiple output (MIMO) mode. The communication device monitors uplink signal quality of the uplink data stream while connected in single layer mode to a base node using multiple transmit chains. The controller device deactivates transmit chain(s) while the uplink signal quality remains satisfactory. The controller re-activates the inactivated transmit chain(s) in response to the uplink signal quality becoming unsatisfactory.

    摘要: A limited-function, low-power wakeup receiver is based on frequency shift keying (FSK), avoiding the inherent problems of AM demodulation such as non-linearity of the amplitude detector. The FSK detector is easily realized in the digital domain. Due to the time discrete nature of FSK signals, the detector has a periodic response in frequency, allowing the signal to be demodulated at different offsets from the center frequency. The relaxed accuracy demands on the local oscillator frequency avoid the need for a power-hungry phase locked loop (PLL) circuit. To avoid potential loss if a signal coincides with one of the regular sensitivity nulls, the network at least occasionally transmits an FSK wakeup signal at a slightly shifted frequency, so at least one of the FSK wakeup signals will be received. Transmitting multiple frequency-shifted signals improves the likelihood of reception.

The method comprises performing M-FSK demodulation on a frame structure comprising a preamble frame, a SYNC frame, and a data frame. The performing comprises: performing the M-FSK demodulation of the preamble frame using an autocorrelation time-frequency synchronization technology; performing the M-FSK demodulation of the preamble frame using a time-frequency synchronization technology using cross-correlation sliding fast Fourier transform (FFT); and performing the M-FSK demodulation of at least one of the SYNC frame or the data frame using an M-FSK data demodulation technology using adaptive and scalable FFT.
