摘要: A communication device, method, and computer program product reduce power consumption when one or more transmit chains can be inactivated without unsatisfactory uplink communication quality in single data layer transmit diversity (TxDiv) or multiple input multiple output (MIMO) mode. The communication device monitors uplink signal quality of the uplink data stream while connected in single layer mode to a base node using multiple transmit chains. The controller device deactivates transmit chain(s) while the uplink signal quality remains satisfactory. The controller re-activates the inactivated transmit chain(s) in response to the uplink signal quality becoming unsatisfactory.

摘要: A device that comprises a plurality of distributed transceivers, a central processor and a network management engine may be configured to function as relay device, relaying an input signal from a source device to at least one other device. The relaying may include configuring one or more of the plurality of distributed transceivers to particular mode of relay operation and receiving the input signal from the source device via at least one of the configured one or more of the plurality of distributed transceivers. The relaying may also include transmitting at least one relay signal corresponding to the input data stream to the at least one other device, via at least one of the configured one or more of the plurality of distributed transceivers. The transceivers are configured based on at least one of measured power of the input signal or a distance between the device and the other device.

摘要: A method for processing an automatic identification system (AIS) baseband signal based on a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is provided. A signal output by a bus is cached in a message buffer and then sent to a Gaussian filtered minimum shift keying (GMSK) modulator after being encoded by a frame encoder. Another signal output by the bus is processed by an AIS access control module and then also sent to the GMSK modulator. The two signals output by the bus are respectively output to two digital to analog converters (DACs) after being modulated by the GMSK modulator; a digital signal is converted into an analog signal, and the analog signal is sent to an I/Q or two-point modulation radio frequency (RF) circuit. Two received baseband signals are respectively input into analog to digital converters (ADCs) and separately sent to the bus.

摘要: A system comprising a relay device that configures to a first beamforming setting for a first set of antenna arrays to establish a first link between the relay device and a source device, and a second beamforming setting to establish a second link between the relay device and a destination device. A data stream is processed based on a selection of one of a passive mode or an active mode of relay operation. In the passive mode, a received radio frequency waveform of the data stream is down-converted to an intermediate frequency waveform, re-amplified, and then up-converted for transmission without requiring any data demodulation, and in the active mode, the IF waveform is demodulated and then remodulated for the transmission. The data stream is forwarded to the destination device through the second link based on the selection of one of the passive or active mode.

摘要: A limited-function, low-power wakeup receiver is based on frequency shift keying (FSK), avoiding the inherent problems of AM demodulation such as non-linearity of the amplitude detector. The FSK detector is easily realized in the digital domain. Due to the time discrete nature of FSK signals, the detector has a periodic response in frequency, allowing the signal to be demodulated at different offsets from the center frequency. The relaxed accuracy demands on the local oscillator frequency avoid the need for a power-hungry phase locked loop (PLL) circuit. To avoid potential loss if a signal coincides with one of the regular sensitivity nulls, the network at least occasionally transmits an FSK wakeup signal at a slightly shifted frequency, so at least one of the FSK wakeup signals will be received. Transmitting multiple frequency-shifted signals improves the likelihood of reception.
