    Abstract: An electronic device and an antenna module are provided. The electronic device includes a metal housing with a slot having an open end and a first upper edge portion located at an upper edge of the slot. The antenna module is arranged in the metal housing and includes a carrier board, a feeding element, a radiating element with a feeding portion connected to the feeding element, and a first parasitic radiating element arranged on the carrier board and connected or coupled to the first upper edge portion. A vertical projection of the radiating element on the metal housing at least partially overlaps the slot. One side of the first parasitic radiating element is near an edge of the open end. The radiating element is fed with a signal through the feeding element to generate a resonant mode and is coupled to the slot to excite another resonant mode.

    Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus includes an antenna element, a parasitic element configured to rotate around a circumference of the antenna element, a wireless transmitter configured to transmit a signal from the antenna element, and processor circuitry configured to be connected to the wireless transmitter; and to execute determining, based on a channel state, a sample timing used for transmission of the signal, transmitting control data for notifying the determined sample timing from the wireless transmitter, performing a weighting process on a plurality of data series by using a weighting factor according to the channel state indicated at the determined sample timing, and transmitting the plurality of data series that have been subjected to the weighting process from the wireless transmitter.

    Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are disclosed of antenna assemblies configured for reception of television signals, such as high definition television (HDTV) signals. In an exemplary embodiment, an antenna assembly generally includes a VHF antenna element and a UHF antenna element. The VHF antenna element and the UHF antenna element may be parasitically coupled without a direct ohmic connection between the VHF antenna element and the UHF antenna element. The antenna assembly may be configured to be operable for receiving VHF and UHF high definition television signals without using a diplexer and a VHF balun.
