Abstract: An antenna element includes a reflector plate and a radiator comprising a balun device and a dipole device for operating in a first frequency band. The dipole device is connected to the reflector plate by the balun device. A distance from the dipole device to the reflector plate is more than ¼ of a wavelength at a central frequency of the first frequency band. The balun device comprises a short-circuit at a distance from the dipole device of 15 to 35 percent of said wavelength.

Abstract: A dual band antenna element suitable for use in a compact multiband antenna array is described. The dual band antenna element may have a main radiating direction with a first radiating element for use in a first frequency band, a first electrically closed ring for use in the first frequency band galvanically isolated from and arranged at a predetermined distance from the first radiating element in the main radiating direction. The first ring) may at least partially overlap the first radiating element in the main radiating direction. The dual band antenna element may also have a second radiating element for use in a second frequency band, where the second radiating element is arranged within a circumference of the first radiating element and is arranged substantially at the predetermined distance (D) from the first radiating element in the radiation direction.

Furthermore, a second radiating element is arranged on the support structure and configured to radiate in a second operating frequency band that is lower than the first operating frequency band. The first radiator includes one or more electrically conductive parts and the second radiator is provided by one or more slots in the one or more electrically conductive parts. An antenna column array may be densified and the size of the array columns may be reduced by locating and/or embedding the second radiator in the first radiator.

Abstract: An antenna has a plurality of first radiating elements configured to radiate in a first frequency band and a plurality of second radiating elements configured to radiate in a second frequency band. The second frequency band at least partially overlaps the first frequency band. The first radiating elements are arranged along the longitudinal direction of the antenna in a first column, and the second radiating elements are arranged along the longitudinal direction of the antenna in a second column. The second column is separated from the first column along a lateral direction of the antenna. Further, feed points of each first radiating element are separated from feed points of each second radiating element along a bore sight direction of the antenna.

Abstract: An antenna element for a multi-band antenna device includes a dielectric body provided with one or more metal layers. The dielectric body includes a base plate and one or more wall elements arranged on the base plate. One or more first radiating elements and one or more second radiating elements are arranged on the base plate, and are configured to radiate in a first and a second frequency band, respectively. A first feeding network is connected to the first radiating elements and a second feeding network is connected to the second radiating elements, for operating the first and second radiating elements as a first and second antenna array, respectively. The first feeding network is provided, at least partly, as a metal layer of the one or more metal layers on the one or more wall elements.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a dual-polarized radiating element comprising a feeding arrangement and four dipole arms. The feeding arrangement comprises four slots, which extend from a periphery towards a center of the feeding arrangement and are arranged at regular angular intervals forming a first angular arrangement. The four dipole arms extend outwards from the feeding arrangement and are arranged at regular angular intervals forming a second angular arrangement. The second angular arrangement of the four dipole arms is rotated with respect to the first angular arrangement of the four slots.
