摘要: In one embodiment, the disclosed apparatus is a process cooling-water isolation system used in a process tool. The system includes an isolation valve coupled between a water supply and an inlet of one or more components in a process-module water-cooling circuit. An open device allows cooling water to flow to the one or more components, while a close device prevents cooling water from flowing to the one or more components. At least one water-leak sensor is coupled to the close device to detect a water leak within the process tool. A check valve having an inlet port is coupled to an outlet of the one or more components, and an outlet port is coupled to a water-return reservoir. The check valve prevents water from back-flowing from the water-return reservoir into the one or more components. Other apparatuses and methods are disclosed.

摘要: Fluid-dispensing systems and methods relating thereto are described. A method of dispensing fluid includes: (i) receiving, from a temperature encoder, a temperature signal; (ii) receiving, from a flow rate encoder, a flow rate signal; (iii) providing, based on the temperature signal and the flow rate signal, a first amount of power required by a first motor; (iv) providing, based on the temperature signal and the flow rate signal, a second amount of power required by a second motor; (v) opening, based on the first amount of power, the first valve by a first amount of valve opening; (vi) opening, based on the second amount of power, the second valve by a second amount of valve opening; and (vii) facilitating admixing of a first fluid flow at a first fluid flow rate, received from the first valve, and a second fluid flow at a second fluid flow rate, received from the second valve, to create an admixed fluid stream.

摘要: A float switch used for system shut-off and/or alarm activation in response to fluid detection. A clamp connects the switch's protective housing to a fluid-collection pan wall, with the switch comprising a pivoting float assembly having a magnet originally positioned out-of-phase to an upper magnet on a toggle, a contact spring and ferrous pin also diminishing attraction of the magnets toward one another until the float assembly is sufficiently raised by accumulated fluid to force the upper magnet away from the ferrous pin and instead engage the lower magnet, the toggle promptly shifting position so that its opposite end may close a circuit that activates an alarm, remote notification, or other communication/control. The exponential increase in attractive force between the magnets as they draw near to one another results in a very rapid snap action that reduces malfunction. Manual reset of the toggle and float are required for continuing/repeat use.

摘要: A residential and commercial hot water and steam boiler safety system and device that includes at least one hollow pipe, with one plugged or sealed end and a fitting on the other end for connecting the pipe in a substantially vertical mounting position, and at least one two float switch disposed in the pipe and electrically connected in series with a limit switch in the boiler, where the pipe is adopted for the flow and accumulation of water, so that float switch activates as the pipe fills with water and shuts off the boiler by turning off the gas valve, promoting safer boiler and steam boiler operation. Additional float switches positioned above or below in the hollow pipe may provide additional functions, such as a warning light and sound to the owner, or a notification via a telephone or cell phone system or through the home network or Wi-Fi system.

摘要: A system and method for monitoring conditions in a crawl space is provided. The system generally comprises at least one sensor, computing device, data aggregator operably connected to the at least one sensor, processor operably connected to the computing device, power supply, and non-transitory computer-readable medium coupled to the processor and having instructions stored thereon. The system is designed to collect condition data via the at least one sensor and determine whether the conditions within the crawl space could have a detrimental impact on the building. In particular, the system is designed to alert a third-party when a condition might cause damage to a building so that the third-party might correct the cause of the condition.

摘要: A lower extremity wound system can include a lower extremity wound treatment monitoring device and an external user interface. The monitoring device can be associated with a primary wound dressing. In general, the sensors would not be placed in direct contact with the wound, and may also include within a base unit and placed on a posterior calf of the patient. The base unit can include multiple sensors, a controller, and a communication module. The controller can receive and process information from the sensors, and algorithmically determine whether to communicate information relating to the information from the sensors via the communication module to an external recipient. The external wound care information system can receive the information from the sensors, and if appropriate, can prompt a patient to alter their behavior so they are in compliance with their wound treatment plan, or inform a patient-care provider of a status change.
