Abstract: A system for providing a physical projection routine includes a hardware processor, a system memory storing a software code, and a projection platform. The hardware processor is configured to execute the software code to measure an environmental parameter of a venue, determine, based on the environmental parameter, a desired orientation of the projection platform for executing the physical projection routine, and orient the projection platform according to the desired orientation determined based on the environmental parameter. The hardware processor and software code then execute the physical projection routine by the projection platform oriented using the desired orientation determined based on the environmental parameter.

Abstract: A system is provided that stabilizes an applicator in response to the motion caused by a user. The system includes a motion stabilizer; and an adapter that holds a cosmetic applicator. The motion stabilizer includes a receiver configured to be coupled with the adapter; at least one sensor configured to detect a movement caused by a user; circuitry configured to determine a compensation movement to offset the detected movement; and at least one motion generation device embedded in the receiver configured to control a motion of the cosmetic applicator according to the determined compensation movement. The cosmetic applicator is configured to have a first end that includes an applicator element that delivers a cosmetic to the skin of the user and to have a second end that includes an eraser, and the adapter or the motion stabilizer is configured to rotate the eraser to face the user after a cosmetic application is performed by the applicator element.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed that control vehicle steering. An example apparatus includes: a path acquisition interface configured to obtain, via a user interface a sampling interval; and a controller configured to, during acquisition mode: determine a steering angle of a wheel of the vehicle based on a trigonometric function including a distance associated with a turn radius of the front wheel; and cause, utilizing the steering angle, a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver to travel from a first position to a second position, the GNSS receiver located at the first position at a first sampling time and the second position at a second sampling time, the first sampling time and the second sampling time differing by the sampling interval.

Abstract: An optical tilt measurement apparatus includes an optical tilt sensor for use in sensing a tilt angle of a flat reflective surface around a pivot axis. The optical tilt sensor includes an optical emitter arrangement for emitting at least three beams of light so that each emitted beam of light is incident on, and reflected from, the flat reflective surface to form a corresponding reflected beam of light. The optical tilt sensor also includes an image sensor having a sensor area for detecting an intensity distribution of each of the reflected beams of light and outputting one or more signals representative of the detected intensity distribution of each of the reflected beams of light. The at least three emitted beams of light are emitted along at least three corresponding different emission paths. Each emission path extends from a corresponding emission point along a different corresponding emission direction.

Abstract: A method for controlling a distance between a non-contact measurement probe head of a CMM and a work piece during a measurement. The method comprises providing steering commands to steer the work piece and/or the probe head through a measuring path comprising measuring positions, performing at a measuring position a measuring step comprising providing distance adjustment steering commands to set the distance between the probe head and the work piece, projecting a primary measuring beam pattern onto the work piece, acquiring a secondary measuring beam pattern originating from an interaction of the primary measuring beam with the work piece, deriving surface information based on the secondary measuring beam pattern, deriving information regarding the distance between the probe head and the work piece, deriving a distance deviation based on a distance target the derived distance information, providing the distance deviation for a distance adjustment performed at a subsequent measuring position.
