    Abstract: A syringe that is configured for use in a syringe pump. The syringe has a flange at the proximal end of a barrel and a sealing element at its proximal end. The sealing element has of 5 a disk shaped annular sealing assembly having a hole in its center through which a piston rod passes. The sealing assembly has an upper part and a lower part that are pressed together to hold an O-ring that seals around the piston rod. The sealing assembly is placed inside the barrel of the syringe; thereby not 10 disturbing the external shape of the syringe and allowing the syringe to fit into dedicated grooves on syringe pumps.

    Abstract: A pharmaceutical preparation system is provided defining first and second axes which intersect each other. The system includes: at least one platform comprising at least one container-receiving module configured to receive a first container; a first mechanism operably connected to the platform for linearly displacing the platform along the first axis; a manipulator configured for holding and manipulating a second container; a second mechanism operably connected to the manipulator for linearly displacing the manipulator along the second axis; and a controller configured for: a. instructing the second mechanism to linearly displace the manipulator; b. instructing the first mechanism to linearly displace the platform; and c. synchronizing actuation of the first and second mechanisms to enable a fluid interface between the first container received at the at least one container-receiving module and the second container held by the manipulator.

    Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to a connector for connection with a fluid transfer device, including an outer body having a longitudinal axis; and a luer lock connection port positioned within the outer body and configured to be coupled with an external port of said fluid transfer device.     Abstract: Presented herein are embodiments of septum holders for use in syringe connectors that are used to connect syringes to other elements of liquid transfer apparatuses. The septum holders comprise a septum holder body, at least one resilient elongated arm that terminates with a distal enlarged element attached to the sides of the body, and a septum. The septum holders of the invention are characterized in that they comprise at least one bore that is created in the septum or in an insert fixed in either the body of the septum holder or in the septum that functions as the seat of a needle valve and in that the septum is attached to the bottom of the body of the septum holder projecting downwards parallel to the at least one elongated arm.
