    摘要: A sealed package is disclosed for a self-heating assembly that produces heat by virtue of a liquid reactant reacting exothermically with a solid reactant to heat a product. The sealed package includes an outer container, a lower support structure (e.g., of open cell foam) within the outer container, a layer of the solid reactant above the lower support structure and within the outer container, an upper structure (e.g., of open cell foam, as well) above the solid reactant and within the outer container, and an upper layer that is permeable to liquid and that extends across an otherwise open top of the outer container above the upper structure.

    摘要: An exothermic reaction apparatus includes a reactor capable of accommodating a nanocomposite metal material, a cutoff unit provided in a gas pipe to cut off a supply of hydrogen to the reactor, a measurement unit that measures an occlusion rate of hydrogen in the nanocomposite metal material accommodated in the reactor, and a controller that controls the exothermic reaction apparatus. The controller controls the occlusion rate of hydrogen in the nanocomposite metal material accommodated in the reactor to a value within a range of 1.0 or more and 3.5 or less by controlling the cutoff unit during an exothermic reaction to stop the supply of hydrogen into the reactor when the occlusion rate of hydrogen in the nanocomposite metal material based on a measurement result obtained with the measurement unit approaches a predetermined value and to resume the supply of hydrogen into the reactor a predetermined time after.

The thermal energy conversion elements may convert geothermal heat directly to electricity. A surface infrastructure may consist of electricity distribution racks and pumps that drive cooling liquid in closed or open loops to cool the thermal energy conversion elements. AC or DC voltage may be communicated from each of the thermal energy conversion elements to the surface infrastructure for the distribution of electricity in a decentralized power grid.

    摘要: A heat transfer system includes a conduit having open first and second ends, first and second thermal exchange segments disposed in-between and in fluid communication with the ends, and a means for adding fluid to the first end. The first thermal exchange segment is disposed underneath and in thermal communication with the ground, a body of water, or other location with a different temperature. The first and second ends are arranged above all other section of conduit and relative to one another so that they are communicating vessels and a change in fluid level in one changes the fluid level in the other. The means for adding fluid to the first end of the conduit causes fluid to flow freely from the first end to the second end and fluid level to rise in the second overcoming any hydrostatic pressure in the system without a pump disposed along the conduit.

The water container has a first inlet and a first outlet. The substance container is configured to hold a substance that can chemically react with water and release thermal energy. The substance container has a second inlet, a second outlet, and a normally closed feed port. Two ends of the first circulating pump are in communication with the first outlet and the second inlet, respectively. The second outlet is in communication with the first inlet. The outdoor-use heating mat can be heated, easy to carry.
