摘要: A metal-sheet quenching apparatus cools a metal sheet while conveying the metal sheet and includes a cooling tank in which a cooling fluid is to be stored and the metal sheet is immersed in the cooling fluid to be cooled; restraining rolls that are installed inside the cooling tank and convey the metal sheet that has been cooled in the cooling tank while restraining the metal sheet in the thickness direction; a water-level adjustor that adjusts the height of a fluid surface of the cooling fluid inside the cooling tank; and a position control device that adjusts the height of the fluid surface of the cooling fluid inside the cooling tank by controlling the operation of the water-level adjustor.

摘要: A hot-press molding method of the present disclosure includes a first heating process in which a steel plate is heated and the entire steel plate becomes austenite, a first cooling process in which a cooling rate of the steel plate after the first heating process is partially changed, a first region which is a part of the steel plate is transformed into martensite, and a second region other than the first region remains as austenite, a second heating process in which the entire steel plate is reheated and the first region becomes tempered martensite, and a second cooling process in which the entire steel plate after the second heating process is cooled. At least one of the first cooling process and the second cooling process is performed during a molding process in which the steel plate is press-molded on a molding die.

0.17%≤carbon≤0.25%,
1.8%≤manganese≤2.3%,
0.5%≤silicon≤2.0%,
0.03%≤aluminum≤1.2%,
sulphur≤0.03%,
phosphorus≤0.03%,
the remainder composition being composed of iron and unavoidable impurities caused by processing, the microstructure of said steel sheet containing in area fraction, 4 to 20% residual austenite, 0 to 15% of ferrite, 40 to 85% tempered bainite and a minimum of 5% of tempered martensite, wherein the cumulated amounts of tempered martensite and residual austenite is between 10 and 30%. The composition may also contain one or more of the following elements: chromium≤0.4%, molybdenum≤0.3%, niobium≤0.04%, titanium≤0.1%. Manufacturing methods and use of tempered and coated steel sheet for making vehicle parts are also described.-

摘要: A fabrication method for a press hardened part is provided. A sheet or a steel substrate blank for heat treatment is provided. A pre-coating is applied. The pre-coating has at least one layer of aluminum or aluminum alloy in contact with the steel substrate on at least one of the principal faces of the sheet or blank. Then a polymerized layer is deposited on the pre-coating. The polymerized layer has a thickness between 2 and 30 μm. The polymerized layer does not contain silicon, has a nitrogen content of less than 1% by weight and carbon pigments in a quantity between 3 and 30% by weight. The blank or the sheet is heated to obtain an interdiffusion between the steel substrate and the pre-coating and to give the steel a partly or totally austenitic structure. Then the blank or the sheet is hot stamped to obtain a part. The part is cooled by holding the part in a stamping tool so that the microstructure of the steel substrate includes, at least in a portion of the part, martensite or bainite.
