    摘要: An alkylation process including an upfront isomerization zone is described. 100% n-butane or field butanes can be converted into a blend of approximately 60 wt % isobutane and 40 wt % n-butane in the isomerization zone. This blend can be used as the feed to all types of alkylation zones. It stabilizes the feed composition so that the dehydrogenation zone and alkylation zone always operate with the same feed.

    摘要: An alkylation process and apparatus are described. The alkylation process includes pre-mixing a paraffin stream with an ionic liquid catalyst stream from a settler. The premixed paraffin and ionic liquid catalyst stream is mixed in a low-efficiency pump to form a paraffin and ionic liquid catalyst mixture. An olefin feed stream is introduced into a riser reactor. The paraffin and ionic liquid catalyst mixture is introduced into the riser reactor to form a reaction mixture comprising alkylate and the ionic liquid catalyst. The reaction mixture is separated in a settler into an ionic liquid catalyst stream and a hydrocarbon stream.

    摘要: A process for manufacturing methyl t-butyl ether (MTBE) including (A) an optional first step including cracking raw material made from or containing ethane and/or propane, to form ethylene and recovering the residual uncracked raw material, (B) a second step including dimerizing ethylene to form n-butylene, (C) a third step including isomerizing the n-butylene to form isobutylene, (D) an optional fourth step including oxidizing methane to form methanol, (E) a fifth step including etherifying the isobutylene with methanol to form methyl t-butyl ether, and (F) a sixth step including collecting the methyl t-butyl ether is provided. The process can also be used to prepare gasoline alkylate, a higher molecular weight ethylene oligomer, a higher-molecular-weight-ethylene-oligomer-based methyl ether, an isomerized higher molecular weight ethylene oligomer, or an isomerized-higher-molecular-weight-ethylene-oligomer-based methyl ether.

    摘要: Continuous processes for monoalkylating aromatic compound with an aliphatic feedstock comprising aliphatic olefin of 8 to 18 carbon atoms per molecule are effected using at least 3 reaction zones in series, each containing solid alkylation catalyst with effluent cooling between reaction zones, each of which reaction zones is supplied a portion of the fresh aliphatic feedstock, such that the Reaction Zone Delta T in each reaction zone is less than about 15° C. The overall aromatic compound to olefin molar ratio is less than about 20:1. The alkylation product has desirable linearity and low amounts of dimers, dealkylated compounds and diaryl compounds even though a low aromatic compound to olefin molar ratio is used.
