摘要： A removable raised tray system for a printing system generally includes a removable tray operatively arranged to receive print media thereon. The removable tray includes an upper tray surface having an electrically conductive material, a lower tray surface, and at least one tray leg that is connected to the removable tray, which is configured to support the removable tray at a position that is raised relative to a platform surface of a printer feeder or stacker. The at least one leg includes a releasable fastening assembly, such as a rare earth magnet, that releasably secures the removable tray to the platform surface thereby allowing the tray to easily attached and removed from the printer feeder or stacker. The electrically conductive material of the tray surface and the platform surface are electrically conductively connected to one another so as to prevent the build-up of static electricity.

摘要： To ensure reliable and productive processing of printed sheets into stacks, a sheet stacker includes: a flipping device for flipping a sheet with respect to the sheet's orientation before being received by the flipping device onto a stack support or a stack of sheets on the stack support; a sensor assembly for detecting an out-of-plane deformation of a top sheet with respect to the underlying stack support or a stack of sheets on the stack support at least for each sheet added to the stack; and a controller configured to determine from data from the sensor assembly whether the top sheet was successfully flipped and stacked.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a display unit, an image forming unit, a detecting unit to detect whether a sheet is on the tray, a moving unit to cause the tray to ascend and to descend to a lower limit position per a tray sheet amount, and a determination unit to determine that tray descent is interrupted at a position located higher than the lower limit position. At the lower limit position, a screen prompting tray sheet removal is displayed. When the tray descent is interrupted, a screen is displayed to include a tray sheet removal prompt and a notice that an obstacle presents under the tray, an image forming process is stopped, and then the tray is caused to ascend when the sheets are not on the tray and then the image forming process is resumed, even if the obstacle presents under the tray.

摘要： A sheet stacking apparatus for performing post-processing on sheets received from an image forming apparatus and discharging the processed sheets. A stacking tray has the received sheets stacked thereon. A CPU controls a tray lifting/lowering motor to drive the stacking tray to be lifted or lowered. The CPU determines a vertically moving state of the stacking tray. When the stacking tray is not lowered though the tray lifting/lowering motor is controlled to lower the stacking tray, the CPU notifies the image forming apparatus that a job should be suspended. After notifying, the CPU controls the tray lifting/lowering motor to lift the stacking tray. Then, when the stacking tray can be lifted, the CPU notifies the image forming apparatus that the job is to be resumed.

摘要： An apparatus for continuously varying the position of an article carrying platform in response to an inflowing stream of articles placed on the platform. The platform positioning apparatus finds use as part of a vertical stacking machine which stacks an inflowing stream of signatures on the platform. It has a position sensor for detecting the position of the platform and providing a platform position signal to a controller. A controller issues a translation signal to a translation motor responsive to the platform position signal. The translation motor causes the bidirectional translation of the platform responsive to the translation signal from the controller.
