    摘要: An object of the present disclosure is to provide a polymer exhibiting reduced heat generation in a low strain region. To achieve the object, the present disclosure provides a multi-component copolymer, comprising a non-conjugated olefin unit, a conjugated diene unit, and an aromatic vinyl unit, characterized in that: a ratio [(C100-120/C0-1000)×100] of crystallinity (C100-120) derived from the non-conjugated olefin unit at 100-120° C. with respect to crystallinity (C0-100) derived from the non-conjugated olefin unit at 0-100° C., as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), is 23% or less.

    摘要: The subject invention is based upon the unexpected discovery that the use of a very specific combination of hydrophobating silanes and sulfur crosslinkable silanes can be used to attain outstanding performance characteristics in silica reinforced rubber formulations. More specifically, these rubber formulations provide a highly desirable combination of both improved abrasion characteristics and reduced hysteresis without compromising other important rubber characteristics. The present invention more specifically discloses a sulfur cured rubber formulation which is the reaction product of (1) at least one rubbery polymer, (2) sulfur, (3) silica, (4) 2 phf to 12 phf of a hydrophobating silane, and (5) 0.5 phf to 3 phf of a crosslinkable silane. The weight ratio of the hydrophobating silane to the crosslinkable silane will typically be within the range of about 2:1 to about 20:1.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a vulcanizable rubber composition comprising, based on parts by weight per 100 parts by weight elastomer (phr): 100 phr of at least one diene-based elastomer; and from 1 to 100 phr of a carbon dioxide-generated carbon reinforcement produce by a method comprising: mixing a first gas stream containing carbon dioxide and a second gas stream containing a gaseous reducing agent to form a reaction gas mixture; supplying the reaction gas mixture to a reaction zone; reacting the carbon dioxide with the gaseous reducing agent in the reaction zone in the presence of an iron-containing catalyst to form water and the solid carbon product; and separating at least a portion of the water formed in the reaction zone from the reaction gas mixture during the reaction of the carbon dioxide with the gaseous reducing agent.

    摘要: The technical problem of this disclosure is to provide a tire rubber composition capable of achieving a high degree of compatibility between the wet gripping performance and the fuel efficiency of a tire. The solution is a tire rubber composition containing: a rubber component containing an isoprene skeleton rubber and a modified styrene-butadiene rubber with a bound styrene content of 30% by mass or more; a hydrogenated resin having a softening point of higher than 100° C. and a weight-average molecular weight in terms of polystyrene (g/mol) of greater than 1200 and 1600 or less; silica; and carbon black, wherein a percentage of silica in the total amount of said silica and said carbon black is 50% by mass or more and less than 100% by mass.
