Abstract:
A printing plate for gravure printing includes a gravure roll with a cylindrical shape, and printing portions corresponding to a graphic pattern to be printed is provided on an outer circumferential surface thereof. Each of the printing portions includes first banks extending in a substantially parallel direction to a rotation direction, second banks extending in a direction substantially orthogonal to the rotation direction and in each of which at least one end portion is connected to the first banks, and cells defined by the first banks and the second banks, and in the cell located at a print starting end portion of each of the printing portions which first comes into contact with a printing object in the rotation direction, a partition bank which divides the cell in a diagonal direction is provided.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a label film including a hidden pattern that is displayable through scraping a surface thereof and a manufacturing method thereof. A concealment scraping layer printing ink is formed by mixing, in respect of volume ratio, 1-10% nitrocellulose, 5-15% polyamide resin, 20-30% silver paste, 5-15% pearl powder, 10-20% ethyl acetate, 20-30% toluene, and 5-15% isopropyl alcohol and applied with intaglio printing such that a displayable mark formed of a traditional printing ink and including at least one pattern, character, or mark and at least one concealment scraping layer pattern formed with the concealment scraping layer printing ink are combined together and collectively formed on and attached to at least one surface of a single-layer label film substrate, with the concealment scraping layer pattern set on and covering at least one displayable mark, followed by steps of slitting, bonding, and cutting, to form a label film having at least one concealment scraping layer pattern covering and concealing at least one displayable mark through a combined printing operation.
Abstract:
A rotogravure printing machine has a shaft that rotates and a rotogravure cylinder sleeve for rotation with the shaft. An annular end plate connects to the shaft, and the end plate has a contact surface for contact with a mating contact surface at an inner side of the cylinder sleeve.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an ink circuit of an inking unit of a flexographic or gravure printing press. In order to reduce the changeover costs in relation to the ink circuit of an inking unit of a flexographic or gravure printing press, an ink circuit of an inking unit of a flexographic or gravure printing press is provided, wherein the inking unit has an ink inflow for providing ink which is ready for printing and an ink outflow for transporting away excess ink, wherein the ink inflow is operated by an inflow pump and the ink outflow is operated by an outflow pump, and wherein the outflow pump is a pump which is driven by an electric motor.
Abstract:
A print pattern of a printing plate used in intaglio printing includes plural partition walls and a groove-shaped cell unit. The plural partition walls are continuously extended in a printing direction, and arranged at predetermined intervals in an orthogonal direction. The cell unit is formed between the partition walls adjacent to each other, and a printing paste (conductive paste) is retained in the cell unit. Plural printing direction walls that are arranged in a zigzag manner in the printing direction are coupled to each other by a coupling walls that are arranged in the printing direction walls adjacent to each other in the printing direction, thereby forming the partition wall.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of producing three-dimensional structural surfaces based on synthetic resin-impregnated materials applied to the surface, in particular of wood-based panels. The method is characterized in that before the impregnation, at the stage of pattern printing, a mixture is applied to the decor paper, consisting of printing ink, whether with pigment or not, and a swelling agent in the form of microspheres, being encapsulated gas bubbles of sizes ranging from 2 pm to 180 pm, increasing its volume under the influence of rising temperature, wherein the mixture of the ink and the swelling agent contains from 0.3% to 45% by weight of the swelling agent, and after exiting the printing press and after the impregnation, the decor paper with the formed final pattern with a coded three-dimensional structure is pressed onto the surface, in particular of a wood-based panel, using a heated press plate with any working surface.
Abstract:
An ink composition for use in digital offset printing including a white colorant, a translucent colorant, or a combination thereof; wherein the white colorant, translucent colorant, or combination thereof is present in an amount of at least 50 percent by weight based on the total weight of the ink composition; at least one component selected from the group consisting of a curable monomer and a curable oligomer; at least one phase change agent; an optional dispersant; an optional photoinitiator. A process of digital offset printing including applying the ink composition onto a re-imageable imaging member surface at an ink take up temperature, the re-imageable imaging member having dampening fluid disposed thereon; forming an ink image; transferring the ink image from the re-imageable surface of the imaging member to a printable substrate at an ink transfer temperature.
Abstract:
There is described an intaglio printing press (1; 1*) comprising a plate cylinder (8) carrying one or more intaglio printing plates, the plate cylinder (8) receiving ink from an inking system (9, 20, 23; 20*, 23*) having a plurality of chablon cylinders (23; 23*) transferring ink directly or indirectly onto the plate cylinder (8), the intaglio printing press (1; 1*) comprising an adjustment system acting on the chablon cylinders (23; 23*) in order to compensate elongation of the one or more intaglio printing plates. The adjustment system comprises, for each chablon cylinder (23; 23*), an adjustable drive unit, which adjustable drive unit (25) is interposed between the chablon cylinder (23; 23*) acting as a rotating output body of the adjustable drive unit (25) and a driving gear (100) acting as a rotating input body of the adjustable drive unit (25). The adjustable drive unit (25) is designed to allow selected adjustment of a rotational speed of the chablon cylinder (23; 23*) with respect to a rotational speed of the driving gear (100). In an adjusting state of the adjustable drive unit (25), driving into rotation of the chablon cylinder (23; 23*) is adjusted over each revolution of the chablon cylinder (23; 23*) by means of an adjustment motor (300) of the adjustable drive unit (25). In a non-adjusting state of the adjustable drive unit (25), the adjustment motor (300) is inoperative and driving into rotation of the chablon cylinder (23; 23*) is performed exclusively mechanically via the adjustable drive unit (25), the chablon cylinder (23; 23*) rotating at a same rotational speed as the driving gear (100).
