摘要: Pectin-based melt-to-make bulk gummy mix is disclosed that is shelf stable and formulated, optionally with flavors and colors, in a bulk mix form that is convenient for the next step in manufacturing individual serving pectin gummies. The bulk pectin-based gummy mix can be formulated by companies making infused gummies in a convenient manner to consistently manufacture pectin-based gummies in any size and dose. Methods for making a storage stable bulk pectin-based gummy mix that is a precursor for making individual serving pectin gummies are disclosed, as well as methods for making individual serving pectin gummies from a storage stable bulk pectin-based gummy mix. Kits comprising a two-part pectin-based gummy mix and acidulent for initiating pectin gelling are also described for the convenient manufacture of individual serving pectin-based gummies.

摘要: An apparatus includes a housing with an inlet for a pasty product to be aerated and an outlet for the aerated product. The apparatus includes at least a first set of a rotor and a stator and a second set of a rotor and a stator. The apparatus further includes a gas injector for injecting, upstream of the first set of the rotor and the stator, a gas into the pasty product to be aerated. The apparatus further includes an intermediate mixing chamber provided in the housing between the first and the second sets of the rotor and the stator . A secondary product introduction member protrudes into the intermediate mixing chamber so as to issue into the intermediate mixing chamber. A method for aerating a pasty product is also provided.

摘要: The invention describes a method for the preparation of gelatin based gummy candies, wherein a liquid candy composition comprising gelatin, bulking agent and water is casted in a mold and allowed to set to provide the gelatin based gummy candies, and the gelatin based gummy candies are removed from the mold. The liquid candy composition comprises, based on the total weight of the composition, 20 w/w % or less water, and the mold is not capable of absorbing water from the liquid candy composition, and at least a portion of the mold that is in contact with the liquid candy composition is resilient. A liquid candy composition suitable to be casted in such a mold and capable to form gelatin based gummy candies upon setting therein is described.

摘要: The present invention defines a process for forming a chewable oral dosage form, such as a gum having a pleasant flavor and texture. In particular, the invention includes a process of forming an oral dosage form, comprising: a first step of hydrating a gelling agent of agar-agar and locust bean gum; a second step of mixing in components of the agar matrix; a third step of mixing in an active ingredient; a fourth step of cooking the mixture; a fifth step of flavoring; a sixth step of moulding and gelling; and a seventh step of demoulding, degreasing and drying. The oral dosage form according to the invention also comprises an agar-agar matrix combined with gums, such as locust bean gum, and/or sugar; glycerol; inulin; flavoring agents; citric acid; a coating; and water, to complete the composition, which includes active ingredients.

The mixture can include polymer and at least one flavorant, sweetener, active ingredient, or combination thereof. The extruded mixture forms an extrudate having a predetermined cross-sectional shape. The one or more pairs of forming rollers abut to define a passage there between as each forming roller rotates. The passage has a cross-sectional shape corresponding to the predetermined cross-sectional shape. The method can be performed using a machine including an extruder, one or more pairs of forming rollers, and a cutting device.
