Abstract: An apparatus for separating mixed together substances of different flowability has a frame structure and a hollow drum with a perforated circumferential surface driven in a revolving manner and mounted on the frame structure. A pressing element lies externally in the region of the circumferential surface of the drum and is driven in a revolving manner, such that the drum and the pressing element form a product intake wedge for the feeding in a product stream, of material to be pressed. The drum and pressing element also form a pressing region. A discharge element is associated with the pressing element downstream of the pressing region in the product stream conveying direction, for discharging residues that remain on the pressing element after pressing. The discharge element is an actively drivable, endless discharge belt for discharging the residues in a discharge direction. A corresponding method is also provided.

Abstract: A fish supply system automatedly conveys fish with defined head/tail and prone/supine alignment to a fish processing apparatus. A speed conveyor transverse axially conveys fish with defined alignments to the apparatus. Feeding apparatuses are arranged above the speed conveyor, each having a cascade conveyor for transverse axially conveying fish, having receptacles separated from by controllable flaps. A clocking flap controls output to the speed conveyor from the last receptacle. A supply device includes a first central conveyor belt, flow scales determining fish regulated mass throughput onto the belt. A speed regulatable second central conveyor belt follows the first conveyor belt. Conveyor strands continuously connect the second belt with the feeding, wherein control flaps separate fish from the second conveyor belt to the conveyor strands. A control device connects with and technically controls the first and second conveyor belts, flow scales, the flaps, conveyor strands, speed conveyor and feeding apparatuses.

Abstract: An apparatus is for gas-stunning live poultry intended for slaughter and located in containers, by a gas mixture containing a stunning gas. The apparatus has at least one stunning chamber, having at least two stunning zones, and a transport device with at least one transport conveyor for transporting the containers along at least one transport path. The stunning chamber is arranged above ground and the stunning zones lie substantially horizontally one above the other. The gas mixture of the two stunning zones has different stunning gas concentrations. The stunning gas concentration in the gas mixture of the stunning zones increases, starting from the uppermost to lowermost stunning zone. The transport device provides that the containers can be transported on the at least one transport path substantially horizontally in a meandering manner through the stunning zones along a stunning path in the stunning chamber. A corresponding method is disclosed.

A blade is coupled to an operable carriage and is adapted to selectively engage the food item within the processing space to remove at least a portion of the food item.

In addition, the mould drum has, for each group of mould cavities from which food products are to be ejected simultaneously, an ejection fluid inlet allowing the entry of pressurized fluid, and one or more channels extending from the associated ejection fluid inlet to the one or more permeable volumes of the group of mould cavities.
