摘要: A method of transmitting a Physical Layer Convergence Procedure (PLCP) frame in a Very High Throughput (VHT) Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system includes generating a MAC Protocol Data Unit (MPDU) to be transmitted to a destination station (STA), generating a PLCP Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) by adding a PLCP header, including an L-SIG field containing control information for a legacy STA and a VHT-SIG field containing control information for a VHT STA, to the MPDU, and transmitting the PPDU to the destination STA. A constellation applied to some of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) symbols of the VHT-SIG field is obtained by rotating a constellation applied to an OFDM symbol of the L-SIG field.

摘要: Applications of CI processing to ad-hoc and peer-to-peer networking significantly improve throughput, network capacity, range, power efficiency, and spectral efficiency. CI-based subscriber units perform network-control functions to optimize network performance relative to channel conditions, network loads, and subscriber services. CI codes are used to identify and address network transmissions. Channel characteristics of communication links are employed to encode, address, and authenticate network transmissions. CI transceivers used as relays and routers employ unique characteristics of transmission paths to code and decode network transmissions. A central processor is adapted to perform array processing with signals received from, and transmitted by, a plurality of subscriber units in a wireless network.

摘要: A digital radio receiver has a matched filter bank of filter modules for receiving phase- or frequency-modulated radio signals. Each module cross-correlates a sampled signal with a respective multi-symbol filter sequence, using a plurality of samples in each symbol period. The matched filter bank calculates first values (zn(1)), for respective symbol periods, of a cross-correlation of the sampled signal with a first complex exponential function defined at sample points over one symbol period, and calculates second values (zn(−1)), for the respective symbol periods, of a cross-correlation of the sampled signal with a second, different, complex exponential function. A set of the filter modules cross-correlates the sampled signal with their respective filter sequences using an algorithm that takes, as input, the first values (zn(1)) for symbol periods at which the respective filter sequence has a first value, and the second values (zn(−1)) for symbol periods at which the filter sequence has a second, different, value.

摘要: A cooperative multi-user multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) antenna array comprises a MIMO subspace processing system communicatively coupled by a fronthaul network to a set of antennas residing on multiple ones of a plurality of geographically distributed wireless terminals in a Radio Access Network. The MIMO subspace processing system can comprise a distributed computing system. The MIMO antenna array is adapted by updating the set of antennas to produce a second set of antennas; reconfiguring the fronthaul network; selecting an updated set of distributed computing resources to perform MIMO subspace processing; and reconfiguring the MIMO subspace processing to employ channel state information of the second set to enable multiple non-interfering subspace channels occupying a common frequency.

摘要: Methods and systems are described for obtaining a set of carrier-modulated symbols of a carrier-modulated codeword, each carrier-modulated symbol received via a respective wire of a plurality of wires of a multi-wire bus, applying each carrier-modulated symbol of the set of carrier-modulated symbols to a corresponding transistor of a set of transistors, the set of transistors further connected to a pair of output nodes according to a sub-channel vector of a plurality of mutually orthogonal sub-channel vectors, recovering a demodulation signal from the carrier-modulated symbols, and generating a demodulated sub-channel data output as a differential voltage on the pair of output nodes based on a linear combination of the set of carrier-modulated symbols by controlling conductivity of the set of transistors according to the demodulation signal.

摘要: A cable modem supporting full duplex (FDX) operations. The cable modem includes a transmit circuitry configured to process a transmit signal and a receive circuitry configured to process a receive signal. The receive circuitry includes a switchable analog filter configured to filter the receive signal. The switchable analog filter is configurable for different passband frequencies. The receive circuitry also includes a digital compensation filter configured to compensate a difference in frequency response in a specific frequency band due to switching of the switchable analog filter for a different passband frequency. The cable modem also includes an adjacent channel interference (ACI) cancellation filter and an adjacent leakage interference (ALI) cancellation filter. A digital compensation filter is also used in processing the ACI cancellation signal and the ALI cancellation signal to impose or compensate the difference in frequency response due to the switchable analog filter switching.
