Abstract: Energy harvesting devices and methods for converting the mechanical energy of a flowing ionic solution, such as rainwater or seawater, into electric energy are provided. The energy harvesting devices include an electric current generating device that includes a metal layer and an amphoteric metal oxide film disposed over a surface of the metal layer. By moving an electric double layer across the surface of the amphoteric metal oxide film, an electric current is generated in the metal layer.

Abstract: A sensor apparatus includes a first of a plurality of layers having a top layer, a bottom layer, and at least one intermediate layer having an electrical conductor layer, each of the top layer, the bottom layer, and the at least one intermediate layer is disposed in direct contact with a respective adjacent layer. A second of the plurality of layers is disposed in direct contact with the first plurality of layers such that the bottom layer of the second plurality of layers is disposed in direct contact with the top layer of the first plurality of layers. The first and second plurality of layers are productive of a piezoelectric voltage absent of an external current producing device and in response to being deformed, and are productive of a change in capacitance in response to being deformed.

Abstract: A mask has to possess sufficient electrostatic charges in order to maintain a filtering effect of the mask using static electricity. However, an electrostatic property naturally decreases as an amount of the electrostatic charges decreases when contacting a human body or exposed to the air. Resultantly, as an initial electrostatic filtering effect gradually decreases, an initially intended function of the mask is not implemented.
The present invention relates to a static electricity recharging device for a mask, which allows the mask to be reused by recharging reduced or removed electrostatic charges in the mask.-
