    摘要: A fitting for securing an electrical cable to an electrically conductive junction box that provides improved electrical continuity between the fitting, the cable, and the junction box. The fitting features a hollow electrical connector having an electrically conductive split snap ring surrounding its leading end. The snap ring includes one or more grounding tangs cantilevered from its outer circumference and a locking tang lanced from each grounding tang. By providing locking tangs integral with the grounding tangs, a greater portion of the periphery of the snap ring is available for forming the grounding tang. The larger grounding tangs provide much greater surface contact between the grounding tangs and the junction box, thereby improving continuity and lowering the millivolt drop. Electrical continuity is further enhanced by the design of the grounding tangs, which extend from the snap ring at a rising slope to a crest and then at a downward slope to their free ends thereby enabling the downward slope portion of the grounding tangs to pull against the surrounding walls of the junction box and draw the fitting tight against the side of the box.

    摘要: An electrical connector having a plurality of electrical conductors with one portion thereof disposed in a housing and an end of such connector projecting outward from the housing and terminating in a pad disposed perpendicular to the housing disposed portion. The connector is provided adapted for mounting to an ball grid array disposed on a printed circuit board. The pad is coupled to the conductor through a curved interconnect. The interconnect is configured as an inductor to provide a series resonant circuit element for the capacitor effect provided by the pad. The connector has a housing adapted to having therein a plurality of wafer-like modules. Each one of the modules has a dielectric support and an array of signal electrical conductors electrically insulated by portions of the supports. A ground plane electrical conductor is provided. The ground plane conductor is disposed under, and is separated from, portions of the signal electrical conductor by the dielectric member. The signal conductor, ground plane conductor and portion of the dielectric support member are configured as a microstrip transmission line having a predetermined impedance.

    摘要: A modular junction box receptacle includes parallel high and low voltage circuitry portions separated by a barrier. A base housing of the receptacle receives a termination block that includes high and low voltage connections to respective high and low voltage portions of the base housing. A housing cover is installed over the base housing and termination block; the cover has an opening for passage thereinto of a face portion of the block. The receptacle accommodates a plug and play unit containing smart circuitry, the unit including high and low voltage circuitry connections for respective high and low voltage portions of the termination block. The unit can act as a variety of interchangeable devices in a smart system that incorporates pluralities of receptacles, including electrical outlets and simple electrical toggle switches, each containing low voltage connections. A plurality of such units may be incorporated in, for example, a household circuitry system.
