    摘要: An ignition coil for an internal combustion engine has a first housing, a second housing, a holder, an insulating resin and a crack extension restrictor. The first housing encloses a center core, a primary coil and a secondary coil. The second housing has an install portion and a cylinder-shaped fitting portion fitted to a top cylindrical portion of the first housing. The holder is laid over top ends of the primary and secondary coils. The insulating resin is charged in an annular cavity defined at least by uppermost portions of the primary and secondary coils, the fitting portion and the holder and in contact with the fitting portion. The crack extension restrictor is formed by a part of the fitting portion and a part of the holder and disposed above the fitting faces of the fitting portion and the top end portion.

    摘要: In a stick coil, there is disclosed an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine which can prevent a crack (a collar leak) from being generated due to a thermal stress. In this ignition coil, the structure is made such that a size (L) of a portion which is in parallel to an axial direction of a primary spool (121) in a projection portion (121b) is larger than a size (T) of a portion which is in parallel to an orthogonal direction to the axial direction of the primary spool (121). Accordingly, a frontal projected area of the projection portion (121b) as seen from a flowing direction of a resin becomes small, a resin flow is hard to get out of order at a time when the resin flows through a portion corresponding to the projection portion (121b) at the forming time, and a convoluted void and a weld are hard to be generated. Accordingly, since it is possible to prevent a mechanical strength in a root portion of the projection portion (121b) from being reduced, it is possible to previously prevent a crack from being generated in the root portion of the projection portion (the collar portion) (121b) due to a thermal stress so as to reduce an insulating property.

    摘要: A shielding terminal (15) is accommodated in a cavity (21) of a housing (20) in a connector (10) and is doubly locked by a lock (25) of the housing (20) and by a ground terminal (50). A recess (16D) is formed in a shielding shell (16) of the shielding terminal (15) during the formation of a locking claw (16B) for locking a dielectric element. The recess (16D) is narrower than the lock (25). Hence, the lock (25) neither enters nor gets caught by the recess (16D) during insertion of the shielding terminal (15) into the cavity (21). Therefore, an insertion resistance of the shielding terminal (15) can be reduced.

    摘要: A method is provided for connecting a terminal fitting and a flat conductor to achieve a high contact pressure between the terminal fitting and a conductive path. A FFC (10) has an insulation sheet (12) adjacent the end stripped to expose a conductor (11). The FFC (10) is inserted between first and second squeezing plates (22, 23) of a terminal fitting (20). Complimentary recessed/projected portions (32, 33) are formed on the outer surfaces of a pair of upper and lower press dies (30, 31) for pressing the terminal fitting (20). The terminal fitting (20) is pressed by the press dies (30, 31). Thus, the FFC 10 and the terminal fitting (20) are pressed together into a single unit and the squeezing plates (22, 23) are formed into a zigzag configuration.

    摘要: A terminal is provided for stable mounting at a predetermined position of the leading end of a coaxial cable. The terminal 1 has rear side formed with a barrel 7 to be crimped into connection with the coaxial cable 2. A cover 11 is integrally provided before the barrel 7 for covering an exposed section of a core 3 of the coaxial cable 2. An embossed positioning portion 12 is formed between the barrel 7 and the cover 11. When the terminal 1 is mounted on a stripped end of the cable 2, the front end of a folded section 5A contacts a locking edge 12C of the positioning portion 12, thereby restricting any further insertion of the coaxial cable 2. Thus, the terminal 1 can be automatically positioned on the coaxial cable 2 with respect to the longitudinal direction of the coaxial cable 2.

The inner housing member comprises upper and lower inner members. The connector also includes a latch that prevents the inner and outer members from being easily released, and in which rattling or vibration of the upper and lower inner members is prevented.

    摘要: An inner terminal 11 is accommodated in an accommodating portion 20 of an outer terminal 12 via a dielectric element 13. A core 2 of a shielded cable 1 is fastened to an inner fastening portion 18 of the inner terminal 11 outside the outer terminal 12, and then the inner terminal 11 is inserted into the dielectric element 13. A braided wire 4 is folded back around an end of a sheath 5, and an outer fastening portion 22 of the outer terminal 12 is fastened to a folded portion 4A thereof. A covering wall portion 21 in which only the upper surface is open is provided between the accommodating portion 20 and the outer fastening portion 22 of the outer terminal 12, and the inner fastening portion 18 is located in the covering wall portion 21. Upon the completion of crimping, the shielding terminal 10 is fixed by inserting the cover 14 into the opening 21A of the covering wall portion 21 and thereby elastically holding the outer fastening portion 22 by holding pieces 39 of a clip portion 37 from opposite lateral sides. As a result, the core 2 has its fastened portion and a portion near it covered on four sides by conductive members.

    摘要: To prevent the disengagement of housings by a simple construction, four projections 14 stand on the upper surface of a lower housing 1, and round holes 14 into which the corresponding projections 14 are fitted are formed in the lower surface of the upper housing 2. The end face of each projection 14 is bevelled to form a tapered guide surface 15. When the upper housing 2 is placed on the lower housing 1, the housings 1, 2 are locked by the lock portions 5, and the projections 14 and the round holes 16 provided on the surfaces of the housings 1, 2, which come together are engaged in four positions. In this way, the relative rotation of the housings 1, 2 is prevented and such a force as to elastically deform the lock portions 5 does not act. The projections 14 and the round holes 16 are engaged with each other by being guided by the guide surfaces 15, thereby easily positioning the housings 1, 2. Thus, the housings 1, 2 can be smoothly placed one over the other.
