摘要: A hermetically-sealed edge-connect header that can withstand high temperatures, high pressures (or high vacuum levels), and high vibration environments, along with two corresponding connectors are disclosed. After brazing the edge-connect header components, the assembly is machined to form a slot with a portion of each of a plurality of electrical conductors removed in the machining process, resulting in a header with a high pin density. During the process of mating the first connector design to the edge-connect header, a plurality of wipers in the connector deflect, thereby causing the wipers to extend from the connector and contact the corresponding electrical conductors in the header. During the process of mating the second connector design to the edge-connect header, each of a plurality of wipers formed of low-mass, compliant metal wool, forms multiple contact points with a corresponding electrical conductor in the header.

摘要: A server chassis, configured to detachably fasten a PCB, includes a case, an expansion frame, and a fastening assembly. The fastening assembly includes a slidable component, a guiding component disposed through the slidable component and fixed to the case, a movable pin movably disposed through the slidable component, and a fastening pin fixed to the slidable component. When the slidable component is at a fastening position, the movable pin is movable between inserted and extracted positions. When the movable pin is at the inserted position, the movable pin is disposed through the slidable component and the case, such that the slidable component is positioned at the fastening position, and the fastening pin is disposed through the PCB and the expansion frame. When the movable pin is at the extracted position, the movable pin is disengaged from the case, such that the slidable component is slidable to a releasing position.

摘要: An electrical connector is provided to be mated with a mating component. The electrical connector includes: a main body extending along a transverse direction; multiple terminals fixed to the main body and arranged along the transverse direction; and at least one insulating member connected with the main body and provided above the terminals. When the mating component is mated with the electrical connector, the terminals are electrically connected with the mating component, and each insulating member is in contact with at least one corresponding terminal, such that the insulating member move in a vertical direction and a front-rear direction simultaneously, which is equivalent to the case where a section of each terminal exposed from the main body is turned to be covered by the insulating member instead of being exposed in air.

摘要: A card edge connector with an improved manner of creating a preload force on conductive elements held by a housing. The housing may include a member and an opening at a mating end. Each conductive element may have a contact portion curving inwardly relative to the opening and a tip extending from the contact portion towards the mating end. Each contact portion may form an electrical connection with an edge pad of a card to be inserted into the opening. The conductive elements may be configured to have a rest state in order to create a proper force to be exerted on the edge pads. The member may preload the conductive elements by contacting the conductive elements from a location farther from the mating end than the contact portion, which may avoid damage upon insertion of a card into the connector without the need for long tips of the conductive elements. As a result, the connector may operate at high frequencies.

摘要: A connector for establishing electrical connections with a PCB comprises first and second sets of contact pads arranged in first and second rows on a same surface of the PCB. The connector includes a first set of elongated contacts, a second set of elongated contacts, and a contact block. The first set of contacts have contact surfaces that form a first row of contact surfaces configured to make and break electrical connectivity with the first set of contact pads of the PCB. The second set of contacts have contact surfaces that form a second row of contact surfaces configured to make and break electrical connectivity with the second set of contact pads of the PCB. The contact block supports the first and second sets of contacts and causes the contact surfaces to wipe against the first and second sets of contact pads when making and breaking electrical connectivity therewith.

The space is configured to receive the foil through the opening when the block is in the second position.

The connector includes: a main body to which a terminal of the flat cable having notches formed on both sides can be connected; a slider having engaging portions engageable with the notches, respectively, and configured to reciprocate relative to the main body along an insertion direction of the flat cable; and an actuator which sandwiches and fixes the flat cable in cooperation with the main body.

摘要: A connector comprises a housing, a plurality of contacts, a slide plate, and a moving plate. The contacts are configured to make contact with a plurality of contact pads of a mating connector. The slide plate has a cam face composed of a pattern of projections and recesses and expanding in a direction intersecting with the mating direction. The moving plate expands in an overlapping manner with the slide plate and receives an action of the cam face caused by the sliding of the slide plate. The moving plate moves toward the mating connector and pushes the contacts onto the contact pads of the mating connector.
