    摘要: The invention relates to a fluorescent lamp (1) adapted for cold environments, which comprises an elongated main tube (11), fixing devices (12) at each end of the fluorescent lamp (1) for fixing the fluorescent lamp (1) in a light fitting (27), two electrodes (15) placed inside the main tube (11), a heat-insulating outer tube (20) that surrounds the main tube (11) and creates an airspace (22) between the main tube (11) and the outer tube (20). Each fixing device (12) comprises an end cap (41) with a radial part (41b), that delimits an outer end plane of the fluorescent lamp (1), and with an axial peripheral part (41a), that is connected to an end of the outer tube (20). An axial spacer (29, 31) with low heat conductivity has a first end part (33) that is connected to an end (34) of the main tube (11) and a second end part (38) that adjoins the outer end plane and keeps the main tube (11) separate from the end cap (41) in order to reduce the transmission of heat from the main tube (11) to the end cap (41) and the outer tube (20).

    摘要: A lamp system used in a light string system comprises a light assembly and a socket assembly. The light assembly comprises a light source, a base in communication with the light source, and a bypass activating system. The socket assembly comprises a socket adapted to receive the light assembly and a bypass mechanism having a first position and a second position. The bypass mechanism is in the first position when the light assembly is not seated in the socket assembly. When the bypass mechanism in the first position, current flows across the bypass mechanism. When the light assembly is inserted into the socket assembly, the bypass activating system of the light assembly moves the bypass mechanism into the second position, and current flows through the light source instead of the bypass mechanism.

The electrical connector is recessed to form a hollow configuration having an intermediate section forming threading. First and/or second edge contacts of a PCB may protrude through first and second openings in a housing to form first and second externally accessible contact, or directly engage first and second externally accessible contact elements associated with (e.g., retained by) the housing. A contact element retained by a housing may define a slot in the interior of the housing to directly engage an edge contact of the PCB. Electric power is supplied to the PCB via edge contacts without need for intervening wires or soldered connections.

    摘要: A light bulb (1) with a base and inner vessel sealed in a vacuum-tight manner and surrounded by an enveloping part is provided with an adapter (13) at the end thereof made from ceramic polymer and fixed in a base insulator (12). The base insulator and the enveloping part are fastened to each other. The base insulator may be provided in pieces which fasten together and hold the adapter. The adapter allows cementless fastening of the inner bulb. The base insulator and the adapter part have matching indexing and mating indexing means for holding the base insulator and the adapter part in position relative to each other. Multiple mating indexing means on the base insulator allow the adapter to assume secure position at multiple heights relative to the base insulator.
