Abstract: An apparatus includes a display surface having a substantially rectangular region with a width of twenty-four feet. The region of the display surface has visual media content displayed thereon. A first lighting unit includes a number of light emitting diodes (LEDs) and optical elements arranged over the plurality of LEDs such that each optical element overlies only one associated LED. The first lighting unit is configured to illuminate the region of the display surface so that the visual media content on the region of the display surface can be viewed without additional lighting. A second lighting unit is laterally spaced from the first lighting unit along the width of region of the display surface. The second lighting unit includes a number of LEDs and optical elements arranged over the plurality of LEDs such that each optical element overlies only one associated LED.

Abstract: A lighting assembly includes LEDs arranged at a surface of a substrate, and optical elements proximate the LEDs such that each optical element overlies a single LED and each LED underlies a single optical element. Each optical element includes a first part, a second part intersecting the first part such that a normal to surface of the second part intersects a normal to the surface of the first part, and a third part extending away from the associated LED beyond a region between the first and second part. The LEDs and optical elements are configured such that light from each LED is directed towards an area to be illuminated in a uniform pattern covering the area.

Abstract: An LED light fixture is provided and includes a housing with a circular main body portion with a rear wall. A plurality of fins integrally extends from an outer surface of the rear wall of the main body portion. A spindle with an internal bore integrally extends from the outer surface of the rear wall of the main body portion wherein the spindle is positioned among the fins. A light engine assembly is positioned within the main body portion and includes a plurality of LED light modules mounted to a printed circuit board. Each module comprises a LED and a lens extending from the printed circuit board, wherein the printed circuit board resides against an inner surface of the rear wall. An separate enclosure configured to enclose power management components is connected to a rear portion of the housing proximate the fins. The enclosure includes a housing wall arrangement and leads that extend through both an opening in the housing wall and the internal bore of the spindle, past the rear wall of the main body portion and to the printed circuit board.

Abstract: A thermal isolation arrangement for an LED lamp is disclosed. Embodiments of the invention provide thermal isolation between the power supply and the LED assembly of an LED lamp, in most cases allowing the power supply to operate in a lower temperature range than would otherwise be possible. At least one contact feature is provided between the power supply and the LED assembly to maintain a thermal transfer gap between the power supply and the LED assembly.
