    摘要: The present invention relates to an overvoltage protection circuit (1) for protecting the electronics of a motor, in particular of an EC motor, against overvoltage pulses, with two protective devices (FS1, FS2) arranged in series connection between two connections (10, 20), wherein a resistor (R1) or (R2) is connected in parallel to each of the protective devices (FS1, FS2) and at least one capacitive element (C1) is provided in parallel connection to the first protective device (FS1), wherein the overvoltage protection circuit (1) has, between the connections (10, 20), at least a first (lower) and a second (higher) breakdown voltage point at a voltage UZ1 or UZ2 dependent on the voltage change over time k=(dU/dt) of a voltage UGA at the connections (10, 20).

    摘要: In one embodiment, when the current density at the cathode is less than 0.2 mA/mm2, cathode sputtering is avoided or reduced to such an extent that the life time of the CCFL is not significantly adversely affected. In another embodiment, the internal diameter (ID) of the CCFL tube is within the range of 3 to 16 mm. Preferably, the distance between the anode and cathode is within a range of about 200˜1000 times of the internal diameter of the CCFL tube, and the distances between at least one section of the CCFL tube and two adjacent sections of the CCFL tube is less than about 5 times an outside diameter of the CCFL tube. Preferably, the efficiency of the CCFL is not less than about 55 lm/W.

    摘要: A composite ignition device includes a positive electrode having a tip formed thereon that is bonded to a first insulator to form a firing cone assembly. A second insulator having a negative capacitive element embedded therein is attached to the firing cone assembly. A positive capacitive element is disposed in the second insulator and is separated from the negative capacitive element by the second insulator. The positive capacitive element is coupled to the positive electrode. The positive and negative capacitive elements form a capacitor. A resistor is coupled to the positive capacitive element. An electrical connector is coupled to the resistor and attached to the second insulator. A shell includign a negative electrode having a tip is attached to the second insulator and the firing core assembly and coupled to the negative capacitive element. The negative electrode tip is spaced apart from the positive electrode tip.

    摘要: An arc tube comprises a light transmissive body containing an arc generating and sustaining medium and has a press seal formed at one end of said body. The press seal comprises a planar portion separating opposed edges. A first foil is sealed in the planar portion. A lead-in conductor is attached to the foil and extends outside of the body and an electrode is also attached to the foil and extends inside the body. A first cavity is formed on a first of the edges and a second cavity is formed on a second of the edges. A fill is provided in each of the cavities for supporting emission of ultraviolet radiation; and a second foil sealed in the planar portion is attached to the first foil, said second foil having a first end terminating in the first cavity and a second end terminating in the second cavity. A ground plane is provided adjacent the cavities. A high voltage pulse applied to the electrodes, and, thus, the foils, creates a capacitive discharge creating the ultraviolet radiation which aids in starting the lamp in which the arc tube is employed.
