    Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for regulating pressure within a well tool. In some aspects, the well tool may include a cylinder, a setting chamber, and a first flow metering device and a second flow metering device installed in the cylinder. The first flow metering device having a first pressure threshold and the second flow metering device having a second pressure threshold may be configured to regulate an internal chamber pressure inside the setting chamber to reduce a collapse pressure or a pressure differential at the cylinder. The first flow metering device may be configured to allow an external pressure greater than a first pressure threshold to enter the setting chamber during a hydrocarbon recovery operation, and the second flow metering device may be configured to allow the internal chamber pressure greater than a second pressure threshold to exit the setting chamber after the hydrocarbon recovery operation.

    Abstract: An embodiment for ameliorating reusable packaging for cognitive commerce shipments is provided. The embodiment may include receiving information relating to a product to be shipped in a reusable package and historical sensor data obtained from a knowledge corpus. The embodiment may also include predicting a size of the reusable package in which to ship the product. The embodiment may further include identifying a required level of inflation of an array of balloons in the reusable package. The embodiment may also include inflating a plurality of balloons in the array of balloons consistent with the required level of inflation. The embodiment may further include in response to determining the product does not require additional protection, deflating each inflated balloon in the array of balloons upon delivery of the product to the final destination.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for analyzing reaction systems with a liquid phase (13) and a gas phase (15), the apparatus (1) comprising at least two tank reactors (3), a common feed line (5), a common drain line (25) for the liquid phase and a common drain line (21) for the gas phase, each tank reactor (3) being connected to the common feed line (5) by a supply line (7), to the common drain line (25) for the liquid phase by a liquid withdrawal line (27) and to the common drain line (21) for the gas phase by a gas withdrawal line (23), wherein the pressure in each tank reactor (3) is controlled by one of:



    (a) a pressure control (31) in the common feed line (5);
    (b) a pressure line (29) which is connected to the gas space of each tank reactor (3);
    (c) a pressure control (31) in the common drain line (21) for the gas phase and a flow restrictor (33) in the common drain line (25) for the liquid phase or a pressure control (31) in the common drain line (25) for the liquid phase and a flow restrictor (33) in the common drain line (21) for the gas phase; or
    (d) a pressure line (29) which enters into the common drain line (25) for the liquid phase or into the common drain line (21) for the gas phase.




    The invention further relates to a process for analyzing reaction systems in such an apparatus.

    Abstract: A back pressure regulator (“BPR”) includes a pressure housing that at least partially defines a flow chamber that the liquid flows through and the BPR has an adjustable restriction that varies with the flow rate to maintain an upstream liquid pressure. The pressure housing is contoured to distribute the liquid flow to provide radial flow into the adjustable restriction from circumferentially about the adjustable restriction. The pressure housing includes ramped and curved side passages that guide the flow and ridges that divide the flow and prevent internal collisions between the flow. A flow deflector extends into the chamber outlet to prevent the radial flows through the annular restriction from colliding. The flow deflector redirects the flows to smoothly recombine in the chamber outlet.
