    摘要: A thermosensitive lithographic printing plate comprising: a hydrophilic support; a lower layer comprising a water-insoluble and alkali-soluble resin; and an upper thermosensitive layer comprising a water-insoluble and alkali-soluble resin and an infrared absorbing dye, whose dissolution in an alkaline aqueous solution increases upon exposure, wherein a surface of the upper thermosensitive layer has protrusions caused by ununiformity of thickness of the upper thermosensitive layer in a proportion of 0.1 or more and not more than 7 per nullm2 or the upper thermosensitive layer comprises at least two alkali-soluble resins having a different dissolution speed in an alkaline aqueous solution from each other, and the at least two alkali-soluble resin cause phase separation from each other.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a photo-sensitive laminate film for use in making an image mask for etching an image on a substrate. In a first preferred embodiment, the photo-sensitive laminate film comprises a support sheet having a first surface and a second surface, a layer of polymer resin composition having photocrosslinkability, the layer of polymer resin composition having a first surface and a second surface, and a fractionally-releasable bonding layer located between the first surface of the support sheet and the second surface of the layer of polymer resin composition. Upon the creation of an image mask from the layer of polymer resin composition, the image mask is capable of being separated from the first surface of the support sheet such that at least a portion of the bonding layer located between the image mask and the first surface of the support sheet is released from the support sheet with the image mask, and the remaining portion of the bonding layer remains with the support sheet. In use, the image mask, defined by a predetermined pattern, can be operatively attached to a substrate, the support sheet can be removed, and the substrate can be etched (e.g., either by sandblasting or by the application of a chemical etching solution) with an image corresponding inversely to the predetermined pattern of the image mask.

    摘要: The present invention is directed towards contact planarization methods that can be used to planarize substrate surfaces having a wide range of topographic feature densities for lithography applications. These processes use thermally curable, photo-curable, or thermoplastic materials to provide globally planarized surfaces over topographic substrate surfaces for lithography applications. Additional coating(s) with global planarity and uniform thickness can be obtained on the planarized surfaces. These inventive methods can be utilized with single-layer, bilayer, or multi-layer processing involving bottom anti-reflective coatings, photoresists, hardmasks, and other organic and inorganic polymers in an appropriate coating sequence as required by the particular application. More specifically, this invention produces globally planar surfaces for use in dual damascene and bilayer processes with greatly improved photolithography process latitude. The invention further provides globally planar surfaces to transfer patterns using imprint lithography, nano-imprint lithography, hot-embossing lithography and stamping pattern transfer techniques.

    摘要: In accordance with the present invention there is provided an imaging element for lithographic offset printing. The imaging element comprises hydrophobic polymer particles in an aqueous medium, a substance for converting light into heat and an organic base. The imaging element may be used for printing long run lengths on lower quality paper and in the presence of set-off powder. The imaging element may be imaged and developed on-press and may be sprayed onto a hydrophilic surface to create a printing surface that may be processed wholly on-press. The hydrophilic surface may be a printing plate substrate or the printing cylinder of a printing press or a seamless sleeve around the printing cylinder of a printing press. This cylinder may be conventional or seamless.
